Gambit, onliners or not?
Sweden EnkeltLir
It might be true that they need more time. What we know is true is that right now, they can't play as well on LAN as they can online, hence why IMO they're proven onliners for the time being. Some teams can transfer quickly to LAN, some takes longer. However, they've had quite a few LAN's now, and not been anywhere NEAR the level they were online. I do have hopes for them, but there surely is a lot of pressure about this whole online thing that they might never get over. It has to be rough that the majority of the community gets proven right every time they attempt a LAN thus far. And that pressure probably stacks up. It doesn't help either imo that their igl, nafany, tries to act cocky in interviews and on twitter. The humble approach is the right way to go here imo. I personally think there has to be a change for them to become better on LAN. Hobbit can't be responsible for holding 4 younger players in check with pressure rising and he is supposed to be a top performer in the team himself. What made them insane in that online era was the fact that ax1le was always good for 2-3 kills in situatioins most players would get one. Sh1ro was completely nuts on the awp every game and that has dissappeared. Now we see flashes of that, a game here or there, but never the consistent 25+ games. Everyone was able to contribute, that was also a huge thing. Now they rely heavily on hobbit and sh1ro, and when sh1ro isn't as consistent, and hobbit has to worry about 4 others and being a leader even when he's not igling, his performance obviously can't be as great as if he only had himself to focus on. I don't know, could go on further, but IMO they need another experienced player. Not another 30 year old who won a major in 1.6, but one who's won something, who knows what it takes and someone who can lock it down. Another hobbit would be perfect :D

the experience is there but sadly he is a worst fragger than Interz for past few years. I think more time for the squad is the way it should be for them , 4 of these guys are very inexperienced of top tier CS as well as of LANs.

Compare that to their online run and it's pretty shitty, lol. Major semis run wasn't even impressive imo. Easy groups and even easier quarters. Got destroyed like never before versus Na'Vi. Same with cologne, they beat MOUZ in quite a close 2-1 fashion, decent win over nip, destroyed by Faze. This is only my opinion but you can clearly see they're not as comfortable, they're not fragging as hard, the teamplay isn't the same. The flow isn't the same.

Major wasn’t their fault that they got easy matchups. Still beating furia, on ur first proper lan isn’t terrible, but I agree isn’t ideal. Navi is just Navi, they steamrolled everyone, gambit wasn’t an exception. I agree that cologne could have been better, but either way, if they would have beaten faze, they would get Navi, which would probably win gambit either way. With that said, I think they aren’t onliners, it’s just they capitalized on online era when teams were shit. Imo they are solid 1,5 lan team. They can get into playoff, but they might not win it. But I agree that they don’t look as comfortable

But online they also didnt have the same level anymore. They looked shaky/beatable online as well. They just had a period where they were unbeatable. However on LAN they look even more shaky but ppl need to stop saying they just fell off from prime astralis performance to 2021 EG level performance when they played their first lan

VP are really good and overall have more LAN xp, including their IGL. I think they got hard-anti-stratted on Vert. Both maps were close. (OT and 16-14) VP are what? Top 5?
2021-12-03 20:41
didn't read they are semi-onliners, don't turn into lvl 6 lobby but also are not as dominant on LAN.

I think people a bit forget that they were sturggling in online on ESL pro league, and even the last rmr, tough and close games against AVE, Inde Irae or whatever these teams were. SO... Their game form dropped in general since July i guess
