Which sens is generally better ? There are many benefits to use low sens over high sens and high sens over low sens but which sens do you play better on ? I play better on lower sens because I have good crosshair placement but higher sens gives me more freedom and I take quicker decisions in game but my aim is shite compared to lower sens

Yes but the difference is that he is talented af, I think that not everyone can be good that good with high sens Personally I tried his sens for 2 months or so and i didn't see a hit in my performance, but obviously i play against randoms not pro players

Good to know I guess, thanks. But If you take CS so seriously how have you not just gone into an aim prac / bot map and played around with it until you found a setting you feel comfortable with. Find a range that you can consistently snap / micro adjust to targets while still being able to move and look from side to side easily enough?

I'm well aware of the what the word average is... The intending meaning was, I never bothered to compare my sens to others so I don't know if mine would be considered high, low or average to anyone, and that none of that should be important since you're the only one controlling your mouse and you should play with what feels comfortable to you, not by some standard set by randos on the internet.

you can always compare yourself to pros as their settings are not intercontinental secret and find out how you describe your sens if "randos" standards are not applicable or too low compared to yours in general

It's all about what you're trying to do, but also about your eye-hand coordination. I think that someone who has very precise control of their hands is going to benefit from higher sens, but someone who might be a little more shaky will excel with lower. It's also about if you want to set up the shot or it you feel like you can track to multiple targets better. Everyone's different, so neither one is really wrong.
2021-12-04 05:27
you'll be great with both if you just keep it. sure, if you play 1.4@400 dpi for 1000 hrs and then play 3@400 for 200 hours you're not going to be as good. same reason NiKo, who's always stayed between 1.4-1.6, can flick insanely fast - he's used the same sens his whole career. kennys, who uses a medium sens of 2.2@400 has been using that sens for almost a decade (i read his 2012 config when csgo released and his sens was 2.2). just try your best to stick to something! maybe start low, 1.2-1.4@400 and up your sens by .1-.3 every couple hundred hours.
2021-12-03 21:16
i think i play a pretty high sensi, its 1000dpi with 1.2 ingame. Used to play at 0.97 with 1000 but couldn't hit the (tenz) van jump smoothly with it so had to change it up.
2021-12-03 21:17

cause high sens takes more practice but is better in nearly every situation, but at long distance you need to train a lot ... you can compare niko vs s1mple :=)
2021-12-03 22:17
1 reply
both high and low need a lot of practice for you too feel comfortable (unless its a small value change) high sens is technically better as you can flick faster but imo it wont make that much of a difference in a real game

2021-12-03 21:21
It's really subjective. For me it's highly uncomfortable to move my hand, I just flick my wrist to do a 180 degrees turn, so i use high sens. Maybe for you it's hard to hit headshots or to adjuts crosshair on high sens, and don't have a problem with moving your hand

I have that problem too, but i think its just overthinking. Sometimes you think the reason why you are playing bad or your aim sucks is your sens, but thats wrong more often than not

I've played with the same sens for nearly 15 years. Just pick one and stick with it. If you find yourself struggling to aim because of your sens, then change it. But don't change it again. Consistency is key.
2021-12-03 21:22
I think in recent times there has been more of a shift in favour of higher senses. S1mple is the obvious example but there's also Ax1le, AmaNEk, Plopski, flameZ, ELiGE, Bymas etc who are all higher sens gamers, and ngl most of that list are pretty nutty aimers. I play 1.35 @ 800 so on the upper end of what I would consider low (if its below 3 @ 400 that's low and above high) which I think is a decent mid range area. Having said that... I am noob

The low sens thing is also a byproduct of 1.6 players, where it was pretty beneficial since holding an angle was actually functional. Games like CSGO and Source, where you flicks are better, benefit more from higher sensitivity.
2021-12-04 05:32
As u said high sens ables you to take quicker decisions and that's why i play high sens. And eversince I was a kid I've played high sens
2021-12-03 21:24
You will never get better if you constantly change your sensitivity. Just pick one sensitivity and never change it.

2021-12-03 21:29
But there is a difference with mouse pad speed, mouse feet speed, mouse sensor difference. When you change your gear it can completely change the feeling of your aim and you often need to adjust sens to match the feeling you had before.

2021-12-03 21:43

2021-12-03 21:36

I don't know how it will be in other places, but here the pulse is used as precision. When someone writes something on a sheet of paper and makes it perfect, or when someone does something with his hand and does not fail, it is often said that he has a good pulse or that his hand is not shaking. Probably it is like an expression, I believed that it was used in general in all countries.

This game don't requiere crazy sensitivity, you only need to be confortable in your 180ª so don't need more than that, you can try the PSA method, put your mouse in one site of your mousepad and aim to an object an then move the mouse to the other site of the mousepad in straight line, then adjust your sens until you have a full 360 and type your 360 sens here: jscalc.io/embed/vqOrqXRpMgmwb8tV Then go to aimbotz for example and shot a bullet in the wall or take a bot and put the high sensitivity that the page show you then track the bot head or the bullet in the wall going from site to side to side as well as you can, then try the lower value and repeat the same process, give each sensitivity a couple of minutes to get used to it and track at longer and closer distance, then select the one you feel better, repeat the same steps in the 7 steps that this requieres and then it will give you the best sens for you

The truth is that it depends on your game style, your mouse and mousepad (how fast it is), and the most important that is the sens you feel comfortable with.

Afaik the average edpi of pro players its like 850 or so, pretty sure I watched a video that summed up the sens of the pro players that appear in liquipedia So anything near that should be quite good I play 400 x 2.47 and currently I can't find any situations in which I struggle because of my sens, I mean it's precisely enough so I can micro adjust, but also I can flick fast and do 180s and stuff, (I'm not a god at the game, but thats not the point)

I used 1.4 @ 400 for a while, and then went closer to my original sens (2.6 @ 800, I'm just under that now). It was good for certain things, but what bothered me was I could tell that no matter how fast my arm and reaction was, it would always be slower than my wrist flicks, because you had to cover so much more space with much more involved movement. I was good at both, I just like wrist control more overall.
