AleksiB has one foot out the door anyway, if the rumours are true.
Really though what can he do, he has nobody to rely on in this team theyre all inconsistent af and niko is just shit. He might not be the same igl he once was, but hes still a good igl. His igling is the only think keeping this bot team relevant.
+1 ain't that the truth
aleksib is trash and he should call it quits. cs never been his game tbh.
G2 and G2 fans are happy seeing OG lose. Because they have more of a chance of getting him. And probably AleksiB knows that G2 wants him maybe he dozen want to stay with OG. Soo, there is hope for G2 fans.
5 average players ofc this trash wont achieve anything
Yeah their "star" players cant even kill from behind because of aleksi OMEGALUL
og have BIG LACK OF POWER
All of them are inconsistent as fuck
aleksi is the most overrated IGL in "tier 1" in the last few years, this guy can get away with murder and no one will criticise him lmao (outside of HLTV)
Aleksi is the only problem, wasting geniuses like FlameZ and Valde
Look at the results of this year. Katowice, 1 round. DH Master Spring, Not qualify. FlashPoint 2 EU RMR , 1 round. IEM Summer, 2nd place. Cologne, Not qualify to the main event. Major, Not qualify. EPL I remember one of the event is 4th place, the other not made into the playoffs. What a disaster.
Yea, really unfortunate, I thought that they would be good.
overrated team, disband after new year
The worst thing about this team for me is that it's so hard to point at any one person as the problem. Like, Aleksi's T sides are kind of just bad, Mantuu is inconsistent, Flamez is all aim no brain but not in the way that an IGL can do work with, more like Tenz was in CS, niko is the exact opposite where he seems like a decently smart player but just cannot show up mechanically and valde is decent but he's just that, decent, if Valde is the best player on your team you have some problems
The fact that this team is anywhere near the top 15 or so at all gives me at least some hope for aleksib's leadership and he is obviously very good with util but he's just so predictable on t sides, maybe he would/will do better with more firepower like he had on ENCE. Valde should be on Astralis instead of xyp9x imo. Mantuu has crazy peaks but is super inconsistent, he would play very well under someone like karrigan imo who specialises in developing talent. The other two idek what to do with them
This team should just go their separate ways imo
other than valde and mantuu the rest of the team aint anything amazing
imagine being igl and doing most of the work and getting hate without any proof. Doesn't even matter what the real problems are its so damn easy to blame the igl for everything.
The lack of firepower seems to be the problem imo
im glad he going to g2 ! :D
If we dont count in the IGL, the only one that has really delivered in OG is mantuu. Valde is decent at best at this level, flameZ is far away from his peak and niko just does not bring the power that OG needs. The best for the whole party is to look what the options are and what they really need. Core OG is potentially dangerous, but the key has been missing for a while now. Unlucky that they needed to find the 5th player when there wasn't alot available. Sad that they probably have to part ways, but i hope there will still be OG in the scene in the future
Some comments about the team falling off a cliff. This is the exact level the team should be performing at; challenging top teams but not beating them. The problem? The roster.
-FlameZ is and has always been an FPL warrior. However, that doesn't mean that he's a bad player. He might just need experience.
-Mantuu isn't a tier one awper, never has been. He's had plenty of time to prove his worth, but has failed to do so. At the highest level the key to success is consistency, not highlight clips.
-Valde, in all honesty is a great all-around rifler. He just isn't a star player, and there's an overwhelming evidence to support this.
-Niko has never been anything special in any way. He isn't a terrible player, but is it reasonable to expect decent results out of him in tier 1?
Last but not least, there's the great question mark, mr Mullet. Half of the people in this thread are praising him while half of the people are playing him down. The truth is that we still have no idea of what he's capable of. He has led a mediocre Ence to a grand final of a major, although failing to deliver consistent results in the following "season". He has also captained a mediocre OG, that has admittedly failed to deliver any kind of results at all. This isn't a huge surprise though, when taking into consideration the roster of the team, and the fact that they have been an international squad since the beginning.
A couple of notes of Aleksi from someone who has been watching OGs games consistently. While he seems to have a solid understanding of the tactical and strategical side of CS, he lacks decisiveness in mid-round calling. Every time OG manage to get an opening, they hold back and play way too passively. This wouldn't be an issue if it didn't happen every, single, time. On top of this, there is a single player looking to exploit the opening and almost always getting themselves killed, thus equalizing the round. While not all of this is necessarily the IGL's fault, it's definitely a tell of the deficiencies of Aleksib, given that the core has existed for around two years now.
Another point I want to mention is Aleksib's mental capacity. Whenever you watch top tier sport and someone seems frustrated, that means they are frustrated (read: tilted). Now, whenever you watch any game of OG, Aleksib is visually very, VERY frustrated, especially in recent months. This clearly indicates that everything is not right with the team, which can be attributed towards the IGL. We already know that the entire team has been built around Aleksi, so there's no reason not to put the blame on him.
If something along the lines of Aleksib moving to G2 will happen, we will be getting a better idea of Aleksi's capabilities as not only the IGL, but the leader of a team. There has been too many pieces missing in both Ence and OG to paint a clear picture of where Aleksi stands as a player. Hopefully we can get an answer to that soon, as OG already is a more or less a doomed project.
His igl'ing is decent, better than people like Hampus and Nexa for sure. If he goes to G2 he will be a clear upgrade for them, Nexa relies way too much on individual skill and NiKo and Hunter popping off and when they dont its gg
ye there is no point in fixing a team playing matches with similar quality as Sharks vs Pain
