so on my last topic I decided to get hyperx headset, now it's time to recommend me good mouse. Logitech G703 Lightspeed Hero or any Zowie models in my mind, what u think? I want something to look more classic, not too much buttons. Thank you

A little but imo for good reason. They were the first mice to really care about comp games and actually try to optimise for aim in FPS and they invented so many of the shapes that are copied and built upon today for the best esports mice. They were the best option for a long, long time and they don't have any pesky software to deal with either But there's better now, they've been stuck in their ways with a refusal to go wireless, add honeycomb or to even incorporate objectively better upgrades like paracord cables and optical switches

a wireless mouse comes with little latency or input lag. even though, you will not notice it, it is not good in competition games. honeycomb, paracord cable and optical switches are all gimmick. just like high DPI. zowie is a CSGO/FPS competition brand. and it should stay by its principles. thats why i like them more than logitech or razer
2021-12-07 00:06

Wireless mouse latency is literally indistinguishable from wired, many (I would bet most) of the top CS pros use wireless so clearly it is good enough for competition games Honeycomb makes a mouse lighter, lighter is nearly always better for FPS. Paracord cable is just an objective upgrade, less friction than old plastic cables that Zowie still use, idk how you can argue that as a gimmick. Optical switches are most durable and more consistent than omrons or other mechanical switches A competition brand's principles should be making the highest quality product that interferes with your play as little as possible. Paracord and wireless are features made specifically for that purpose

a mouse doesnt need to be lighter and lighter. the zowie mouse is already light enough. thats what i mean. it doesnt make it also better for FPS. thats all advertisement and nothing else. just a selling marketing. like i said before: in the past, they were doing that with DPI too. too less weight means for me also a lower build quality to a certain point. everything what is wireless adds little input lag. its not noticable but its there. i have a zowie xl2546k monitor, zowie fk1+-b mouse, zowie g-sr mousepad and a zowie mouse bungee. and i can tell you: all products of them are high quality. no bullshit, everything trimmed for esports and especially for CSGO or FPS games.

Go look at guys like RJN and Hardware unboxed with their mouse reviews. There's definitely a limit to how much weight reduction helps and it definitely has diminishing returns but Zowie mice are nowhere near that point. This absolutely miniscule amount of input lag in modern wireless mice is completely outweighed by the better control and less fraction due to no cable, the biggest downside to wireless mice in the current day is increased weight I agree that Zowie products are all high quality, I own a couple still. But they're not the pinnacle of design any more, they're outdated

i mean, all zowie mice comes without drivers, have a perfect lift off distance, a superb shape and a great sensor. but its all my opinion. for me zowie is still unreached king. if you are happy with your mouse its fine. everyone has a different taste and preferences.

A lot of other mice come with all of that stuff and more. Agree to disagree I guess
2021-12-07 01:05
Little sideinfo: Yes, wireless does have little input lag, but so do cables. There have been tests to find inout lags in mice and modern wireless mice have an input lag that can even be lower than some wired ones. That being said: If you want to buy a mouse, just look at the given input lags here: rtings.com/mouse/tests/control/latency and also try to find at least 1 other source to compare the results :)

Have it, fantastic mouse. Only problem is the price and that it sometimes doubleclicks when tapping (but only in cs for some reason) and that it doesn't have usbc (if that is even a problem). Apart from that it's the best you can get atm.

For me only when rapid tapping in csgo. Doesn't happen anywhere else and not many people have reported it so it might be my own fault. Still I wouldn't change it for another mouse.

Well, zowie quality is great but they could atleast add paracord. I had it but it didnt fit my hand. Also you can rub the shine off to make it matte which is cool, theres instructions on internet. If it fits your hand and you dont mind the weight you cant go wrong with zowie

2021-12-06 23:48
I've owned a few mice in my 5 years of pc gaming. My longest used mouse was the death adder, good shape and heavy, death adder v2 is alot better for weight but is super expensive. I've used the model 0 wired and this has to be my favourite mouse. I got mime and used it for about 6 months and it died. Be aware of this if you choose. Next would be the ec1b csgo zowie mouse, this was like the og deathadder but with a good shape and no tacky software. Last was the logitech gpro wirless . This is the goat mice for alot of people, however, heavier mice is my preference so I didn't use it for long.

For me its the G305 Its basically a cheaper g pro wireless and so far its been the best mouse i've ever used and its only $30. I have a G203, G Pro Wireless, Glorious Model O, SS Sensei, and DeathAdder and I prefer this cheapo to all of them except the g203, which is just the same thing but wired.

On a technical level the G Pro wireless has a better sensor, but in my opinion and i'm not biased because I like most logitech products but the value proposition is much better for the g203 vs g pro and the g305 vs g pro wireless. They honestly cannabalize their own lineup with the insanely good budget options. You can get a g203 for $15 on sale(idk EU price) or a G305 on sale for $30. Its insanely cheap.

G Pro Wireless Superlight if you are OK with spending 2 weeks getting used to the light weight. My aim was all over the place but now it's good.

I have the white Logitech pro x superlight and my wife has the black one. Great mouses, on the pricey side. You can always start with a Logitech gpro "the 1st gen one" I think they marked the prices down. I use that one for my work mouse. No latency problem and the charge lasts forever.

If you don't wanna spend too much, Logitech G305 (depending on your grip). With a couple of upgrades it just flies (feets and some grip tapes). It's a good option before making the transition to an expensive one. I've heard that the Razer Orochi is similar.
