Low sens better than high sens?
 |
Palestine __rQ__
The main reason why I think it's easier to hit heads with a lower sense is because in a competitive match there is a stress factor that affects the stability of one's hand. For example, if I'm clutching I can notice my micro aiming is not as accurate compared to how I aim in aimbotz. Idk how s1mple does it, maybe he is just that confident and focused that it doesn't affect him. Cause of this reason I'm thinking about lowering my sense (rn it's 1.4 at 800dpi), especially when I get a new lighter mouse than my G703. What do you guys think?

+1 no need to overcomplicate it
2021-12-09 23:41
+1, simple as that. it's up to the individual to decide which way they want to lean, or if they want to stay in the middle. for example @400 dpi, sens of 1.x will be high precision, low speed, approaching 2 or the low 2.x is a balance of speed and precision, and high 2.x and up favors speed with a loss of precision getting more significant the higher you go. no secret why most pros have a sens near 2 @ 400dpi.

true and not true at all, if you get good sense where you can turn 180º of your fov in your mousepad movement you can get a lot of preciser flicks and as the same velocity of high sense

That would indeed be true. I used to play 800 @ 1.5 but use 800 @ 1 now. 1.5 was a good sens for me to play both KZ and comp with but I don’t kz as much anymore so I lowered it

I dont even play kz but I love the feeling of being able to jump around with less effort using a higher sense. So actually the biggest issue I have with low sense is bunny hopping or jumping around in general. When I can check corners easier, I feel more in control... Maybe the aerox 3 will let me lower my sense a bit, gotta see when I get it

Thing is I feel more comfortable and in control when using a high sense. The problem for me is micro flicking for example, when someone wide peeks a corner from long range, I find it harder to adjust my aim then. Short range not as problematic.

Low DPI (400) Sens higher You get optimal reactions and smooth movement when 400dpi doesen ”shake” and high sens make sure you can move ypur mose fast. VALDE: 400dpi 2.00 sens (example)

Well, s1mple has the highest Headshot percentage amongst any AWPer in CSGO history, so you can't decide based on exceptions. In general, if your crosshair placement is on point, low sens is without a doubt the more efficient option.

Crazy how f0rest does it so consistently... I used to play with 1.9 sens and 1000dpi in cs go and back in 1.6 a little higher even. Then I realised it wasnt necessary to have that high sens, also my aim was inconsistent cause it required so much focus.

Best player in the world uses high sens, and arguably is one of the best aimers of the game. And the list you provided is wrong as you included both players with low sens+average sens, so obviously when including 2/3 of the categories youll have more people.... Zywoo, electronic, scream are literally the definition of middle ground sens...

If you noticed, I didn't add a third category of "middle ground" sens. I should have done that because my point was focused on why high sens is worse than all the other categories that fall under it. So the title should have been low/mid sens better than high sens?
2021-12-11 20:18
I have played most of my cs life in lower sens. I have tried to adapt to higher sens but I just cannot be consistent and play same angles as I play on low sens. Long range duels are harder for me and it takes so much effort to warmup. Low sens you don't need to warmup, just hold angle and shoot

Low sens allows for better adjustments, and is better for rifles. You'll be more accurate, but you'll need to move your arm a whole lot if you turn around frequently (clearing, avoiding flashes, playing dm) and that can be painful. As an awper, it makes you more consistent at holding angles but less versatile. If entry fragging is your thing you might also want a higher sens. S1mple's aim is frequently shaky btw. But he obviously has a very good aim, and is an awper, so it mostly doesn't matter so much.

2021-12-09 23:48
it really doesnt matter, from my experience (a guy who changes sens like every week, lowest i played on was 1 400dpi, highest was 2 1600dpi, there are advantages and disadvantages To me, i could feel my rifling and pistoling alot better on the lower sens, but my awping and flicking on awp is so much better on high sens. Not saying it isnt good on low sens but on high sens, your ceiling as an awper is higher because you have a wider range of motion int he scope. Its ultimately up to you, i know bymas players high sens while entrying rifling transfering kids but if u look at majority of the good riflers and awpers awpers tend to not go below the 1.9 400dpi range, while riflers go down to the low 1 and even michu uses even lower, there are outliers like ax1le and bymas or art(hybrid so not really) but majority simple (awper) 3.09 400dpi sh1ro (awper) 1.02 800dpi = 2.04 on 400 to make it easier zywoo awper 2 400 dpi kennys awper 2.2 400dpi jame apwer 0.63 1600 broky 1.9 400 electronic rifler 2.2 400 b1t rifler 1.42 400 niko rifler 1.51 400 twistzz rifler 1.5 400 rain rifler 1.65 400 hobbit rifler 1.1 800 ax1le (rifler 1.5 800 as i said, up to u, depends on whetehr u wrist aim or forearm aim. just dont go to a sens where u cant do a 180 in one swipe

high sens is high skill ceiling, but you need to be really good to do it consistently low sense is a lower skill ceiling but you can be consistent af and like you said micro-adjustments and also spraying is easier (which is why most riflers use low sens)

The thing is that when I play aimbotz my aim is twice as good as it is in a competitive game, I have to actively focus on aiming which I dont like to do since cs go is like a chill game for me. I don't like to sweat it that much. Whenever I actually focus on aiming the high sens feels amazing.
2021-12-10 00:37
How higher the sense, the more difficult to micromanage your aim, but how faster you can flick too.. It just comes down to what makes you comfortable to play.

I would posit that reaction time has a bigger impact on how fast your kills are than the time taken to flick to the enemy as a result of different sensitivities.
2021-12-10 09:43
high sens is cringe
2021-12-10 09:44
It's easier on long distance or hold angles, but harder if you play against a p90 jumping at your face and you need to move fast or do 180º turns. For example, on Nuke that has close range on different levels it's a pain in the ass but doable ofc. Everything in life has ups and downs, just decide what's best for you.

Well, I just started using a higher sens. I used to have 800 dpi with 0.76, but even though I could aim for the head better sometimes, it just greatly inconvenienced me in every aspect of the game. Now, I upped it to 800 dpi 1.25, and my hs% is a bit worse, but I manage to aim way better than before, and I just move way better in general, I only played 1 match since I did that but I think I'm gonna be better now )DDD

high sense - low consistency (s1mple is insane when talking about consistency) but you can reach a higher skill peak. low sense - insane consistency but bad in some situations and you can't reach insane skill peaks.
