Is true, blast groups should be removed from all the rankings.

Its easy to check the ratings man, zywoo is 1.3 rating and 1.33 on elite events, shiro is 1.23 and 1.19 on elite events / lan with very low 1.09 impact when zywoo is 1.40+. Even without zywoo's mvp he would have been top2, sh1ro is fighting for top3 as Niko is 1.26 rzting on Lan and shiro is only 1.18. Mvp are only used when players are close in rzting but if hltv prioritize LAN events then shiro has no chance even to be top3.

Biased. Mediocre rating against top tier opposition is what cost xantares a spot last year, and let me remind you, xantares won 3 trophies and reached a lot of 3-4th places
Kscerato has 1.04 vs top-5 and what did he win? Nothing. I don't know if he'll even make the list. Everyone u mentioned performed way more and way more consistent against top-tier opposition. Except maybe mir, but he's also a questionable candidate

I'm just rational and know when the player deserves or not to be in the top20, because I followed all the tournaments of the year and saw the performance of all, ie it is more of an INDIVIDUAL list, even if furia has not won anything, kscerato deserves YES to be in a great placement, same thing blamef and elige last year.

This is so dumb. All of the heroic players have low ratings. Zywoo will be second, sh1ro will be 3rd. Yekindar is better then jame, b1t, and device.

Yeah, IDK why these guys think Axile with bad performance in all big lans overtakes Elec who clear second star in top1 team.
also, yeah, this year is kinda hard to predict the list. At least I know what names will enter top 15 ish for sure, but I am not 100 % sure about the order. from 15 to 20 its basically picking with closed eyes

Niko had rough time at the beginning of the year just like zywoo had last couple months. Zywoo is def one of the best but he hasnt played at well. We all know simple 1st no questions. 2nd they might give to zywoo cuz the last 2 years even know shiro had a better year than zywoo and niko

fking braindead, rating is the number 1 criteria for the individual ranking, MVP are only used to seperate players that are very close in stats like in 2020 for s1mple and zywoo. Sh1ro literally has only 1.22 and 1.18 rating on LAN with 1.08 impact rating, he will be really lucky to be top3 as Niko played way better on LAN, and Zywoo has as many Tier1 MVP as sh1ro, no one cares about CIS rmr qualifier mvp ahahah, go to bed kid you have no idea how the ranking works just go watch the ranking of 2019 dev1ce that was 1.30 impact, 3 MVP tier 1 and major mvp / winner that got only top3 behind s1mple

zywoo took top-1 in 2020 just cuz of EU rmr LUL, every single tier-1 event except IEM winter had CIS team in it, so CIS rmr mvp = EU rmr mvp

Definently one of the better list I have seen someone post. I feel like Blamef and Mir cannot be ahead of Ropz and Jame, but then again at this point I'm not even sure if Ropz will be ahead of Frozen.

hltv top 20 only accepts (speculation since this is from previous info on past top 20 lists)
rn its looking like: cs summit, katowice, proleauge s13, dh spring, cis epic leauge, iem summer, cis starladder rmr, blast spring final, iem cologne, proleague, iem fall cis and eu, major (not challengers), v4 festival (cause ther wsa some top 10 teams), blast fall final, iem winter, blast world final
so mir has played only 8 of them, and also inactive for the past 2 months. so no way he is making it with only half the tourenemts played and it aint even good stats
he averages 1.15 rating, good but only half tournements played, prob no evps from them other than an rmr, and it aint good enough to put him in the list,
this goes for the other spirit players and players like el1an who is a beast but hasnt played much of the allocated events where as the gambit players have played 14 of them.

Looks like this year there are too many good players. I dont know if the online era helped with it, but there are at least 10 teams very competitive. Players as well, even in teams t2 and t3. Players with amazing stats and performances. It will be very hard to choose the players and the ranking.
In my opinion, the major has a big role in this. Its the biggest tournament of the year and one of the few lan ones. I bet the major will influence a lot in which player to pick.
Overall a pretty good list, but there are some errors:
Degster will not even be close to making top 20
Mir will be in the bottom top 20 if he even makes it
Hunter is too highly rated
Bit will be top 17-12
If you have elige, you should also have naf there. Naf should also be low top 20
