I tried playing both but valorant just sucks too much compared to CS:GO. Valorant isn't even a bad game, just CS:GO is better.
It looks like a very weak bait but if you're serious then idk how it's overtaking cs. At least right now it doesn't make any sense. On the biggest lan tournament viewership barely reached viewership from a lan event in march. If you only think about the fact that there were endless amount of co-streams and drops then it's even worse. It just feels like that game reached it's peak. Also it's kinda sad that viewers care mostly about influencers instead of the game itself. So it's kinda fun to see that Riot are experiencing so much difficulties competing with Valve who don't really give a fuck about the CS e-sports lol

A game like valorant seems like a ticking time bomb. I feel like sooner or later they'll make a mistake which will shift the balance completely.
Valorant will not overtake CS. You can't manufacture an esports scene; either it grows itself or it fails - look at OWL and Fortnite.
