There's a bunch of NA teams in pro league (excluding GODSENT / FURIA)
Liquid, EG, Extra Salt(?), coL, Party Astronauts pretty bummed out about NA CS
Now, I'm actually super excited, it's slowly healing.
1. Valorant Players coming back
Not every valorant player needs to come back, but some of the bigger ones like autimatic, floppy, (ethan potentially, at the smaller level Cooper, etc. ) is really cool to see. It shows that some of them actually do care about CS and isn't totally about the paycheck.
2. A lot of pro league teams
that's 4 orgs, and a orgless team
if Extra Salt don't sign PA and keep Sonic and MarKE, they might be able to keep their pro league spot in addition to coL having a pro league spot with their new roster. So best case scenario, 5 NA teams in pro league! More likely is 4, because I bet PA gets signed by Extra Salt.
3. Exciting new rosters
Liquid's roster is super intriguing, everyone is questioning shox but my focus is more on nitr0, I think this team can definitely be really good, maybe a roster change in there will elevate them down the line
EG looks promising, especially with maLeK as their coach, I really wanna see their 5th before I pass judgement though. Autimatic, Stew, Brehze solid asian trio (kek) and if CeRq gets motivated, then this roster can bang.
coL - THIS ROSTER IS FIRE
GRIM, JUNIOR, FaNg, JT, and floppy.
damn even without oSee, this is a banger team, watch out for these guys especially with better facilities and more EU opportunities.
4. Free Agents + more opportunities still waiting
Extra Salt can definitely sign and stick around with some of the cash they get from coL
U still have MarKE and Sonic under contract, or u can go a different direction and sign Party Astronauts, some of the BnB guys, or pick up guys like RUSH, cxzi, Cooper, etc.
There's a lot of potential and with pro league spots like this, I wouldn't be too shocked if we see some mixups and pickups in the NA scene (RBG +Cooper would be straight fire, bnb + coop also could work)
RISING NA TALENTS/ FREE AGENTS : Party Astronauts, BnB (specifically Swisher and Bwills, shake not bad either. Cxzi, Cooper, viz, -> triumph core right there
Minus - dope awper, HexT -> up and coming rifler on RBG, jitter too, some of choco guys like CLASIA
RUSH / tarik(probably not bc he wants to stream): reliable NA vets w/ loads of experience
TLDR:
NA Looking stronk and I'm optimistic bc of some val guys coming back, pro league spots, exciting rosters, and the potential for more

1. i wouldnt expect too much from these guys. maybe only auti will be useful.
2. this is nothing new, but maybe they will get closer to NA t1 and be useful.
3. yea this is a nice one. although liquid doesnt seem to be improving on players 1 to 1.

Only thing is you forgot obo, daps, and Stan. But love what you wrote! Gave props to Hext which is legit my top 3 favorite player rn I’m hype for him. Could of talked about some more solid players motm, minus, dirtymontana, jojo, woohoo (dude was great in regulation + advanced playoffs). All and all great analysis and hype

i thought about adding JoJo but he's still technically in advanced, but i like third impact a lot
d4rty was great had a really solid ADR in premier, minus :DDDDDD, completely forgot about motm but ATK could be solid with some more time, cyrix seems super solid as well

No problem dude I love NA CS and as a big EG fan I want them to stay in NA and ofc want more orgs in NA. Like we have solid young players like Garfield and shit lmao. Just need more orgs and nurturing players

most of them live in the EU, but probs just open to NA offers But like ofc jkaem or jks can be on a c9 if they come back or an envy or tsm if they come to cs again.

For 3 I agree that roster has a bunch of potential. I want to see Junior get another shot and I think Grim can be better than he ways in Liquid is given the right roles! Nice post dude +1
I think more of the NA players will comeback when the NA Valorant bubble bursts. It’s just a question when that will be. Covid really fucked the NA scene taking away the LANs and events here (everywhere but Europe due to being eu based because of ping).
It’s good to be optimistic though. Only people I can see hating on this is the Europeans who have some hate boner towards us for whatever reason. They want NA to completely disappear but CS needs NA in the long run.

Yea I think that NA was in a terrible place in CS for a long time but it's on the upswing. We will possibly see names come back and orgs pay attention.
Though this game's lifespan IS finite, as all are. So it's quite possible that NA will never recover to the same level they once were. Still, this is a good sign!
A lot of the players in valorant are just like a lot of the TF2 players that went to OW: That game had tons of structure and actual money up for grabs, even at the lower levels. The same thing could be said for CS, where really good players like wardell got shafted over and over due to valve's complete lack of hands-on involvement with the scene, particularly in NA. The difference is that CSGO's competitive scene was and still is only a few steps away from being the right kind of ecosystem to properly support up and coming talents in NA, compared to TF2 which is still 100% grassroots (not to mention that it was built as a casual game and CSGO a competitive one, but that's beside the point lol)
All in all, I'm not shocked at some of these players coming back, as they've come to realize that the game they're so passionate about is still a viable choice as a esports athlete
