then rankings are mildly fucked hltv.org/stats/players/3741/niko?startDa.. hltv.org/stats/players/16920/sh1ro?start.. hltv.org/stats/players/11893/zywoo?start.. hes so shit at big events while zywoo and niko are just miles ahead, sh1ro 1.16 big events with a low impact and ADR (KPR as well) and super low DPR which inflates his stats like crazy unless MVPs mean a shit ton (sh1ro has 2 online MVPs and one from a small lan that shouldnt have had MVPs), NiKo and zywoo should realistically be above him

shiro top 5 at best
2021-12-28 05:26
don't worry he won't be
2021-12-28 05:27
that big event filter is only LAN though... which are all past the part of the year where Gambit were #1... just saying, it will provide you with some misleading stats if you want to judge his entire year

yes but also those are the most meaningful ones which should have a bigger impact

They won like 3 good events online when we had 4 lans
2021-12-28 05:42
Niko and Zywoo were never in the best team at LANs yet they are so much better than him.Their teams were doing pretty similarly, you cant blame it on that. Maybe its just sh1ro isnt that good when its down the line yet?

He just slowed down towards the end of the year but where have those two been for the bigger chunk of the year? They were invisible, 3 great months are more valuable than 12 consistently good with similar high peaks + some MVPs on top of that?

Recency bias just hits different man
2021-12-29 11:34
I mean even if you remove the big events filter, Zywoo had better stats than shiro hltv.org/stats/players/16920/sh1ro?start.. hltv.org/stats/players/11893/zywoo?start..

doesn't matter. s1mple had less mvps than device in 2019 and 2020 but still came second

zywoo 1 S tier MVP, sh1ro 1 S tier MVP RMR and some tier3 tournament MVPs won't change anything

RMR MVPs helped ZywOo get top 1 last year

6 vs 2 and only because the difference in stats was like 0.01. This year sh1ro isn't even close to zywoo individually

its obvious already the top 5 1. s1mple 2.zywoo 3.sh1ro 4.niko 5.electronic the only thing that could change would be to be hobbit 5th instead of electronic but i doubt

I had just seen people arguing for sh1ro #2 bc they actually put more impact into online events and his 3 mvps (one of which shouldn’t have even had a mvp) I agree just showing why
2021-12-28 05:53

if sh1ro would be #2 hobbit would also be #5 and that would mean hltv would take to much in consideration the mvps over the stats, which we know isnt gonna happen

1) s1mple 2) ZywOo 3) sh1ro (60-40 between him and Niko) 4) Niko (40-60 between him and sh1ro) Between Electronic, Ax1le, and Hobbit: hltv.org/forums/threads/2564769/ax1le-vs..

sh1ro is below niko, s1mple, zywoo. He is 4th in my book and that is a concession that I begrudgingly make.
2021-12-28 06:10
Zywoo will be no 2 don't worry.

He will be top3 Better rating against top30 than Niko + titles and MVPs
2021-12-28 06:38
Niko is nowhere near sh1ro this year. Sh1ro and zywoo are close for 2nd
2021-12-28 07:01
My bet is zywoo and niko both are ahead of him this year. LAN is weighted a lot more over online afaik.

ZywOo has #2 locked and between NiKo and Sh1ro I'm leaning more towards NiKo for #3 without a doubt, but the big events filter only includes 4 tournaments on a covid dominated year. Sure any of those 4 tournaments might and will weigh more than any online tournament head-to-head because of the LAN factor, but they won't overshadow all the other online events. We deal with what we have, and online events although not considered as "big events" will have a great impact nonetheless. NiKo has far better LAN statistics but he also has far better all-year rating against top 5 and top 10 teams.

if hltv rankings were good shiro wouldnt even make it to top 5. there are so much better players than him, but they dont get to awp.

Honestly I think those 2 will remain at the top 1-2 for the upcoming 3-4 years at least, unless NiKo (or any other player, but mainly NiKo because of recency bias) can maintain the level he's been on the last couple of months for a whole year. Only then we might have a candidate to break that streak. But yeah only time will tell.
2021-12-28 08:28
Sh1ro n.3
2021-12-28 08:11
sh1ro made his debut this year he did pretty good in T1
2021-12-28 08:30
so, you implying there were no big events before cologne? XDD i guess boombl4 should have been #5 in 2020 due to his big event rating :DDDDDD shiro is #3 anyway btw
2021-12-28 08:53
He isn't gonna be 2nd lol, there's no way of that happening this year
