Dm is inefficient

It's good for training movement and spray but your priority no matter the elo you're at is first bullet accuracy so its much more efficient to do kovaaks Get a decent csgo routine which uses small sized targets, don't waste your time on large target speed scenarios because it looks cool to spam flick Writing this because of people like that polski kid if you're going to waste your youth to get better aim at least do it the right way

If you do kovaaks do aimer7's routines

How long did it take for kovaaks to translate for you? Feels like its not helping and i get discouraged. I also play 520 EDPI so its fucking hard on the long target switching

Do the voltaic benchmarks Once you reach jade you can compete with 3k elo players Around master/grandmaster and you can stand your ground with t1 pros, you'll be surprised to know their aim isn't as good as you think it is (elige scored around this level)

It's no the same aiming in an aim simultaor and aiming in a high pressure t1 tourney with crowd though xd
2022-01-07 23:38
Honestly after a month of 1hr kovaaks per day with aimer7's routines, my aim feels fantastic Edit: For the moment, I'm only doing beginner shit though

1 hr is what i try do per day in kovaaks along with 500 aim botz kills and 500 dm kills

How long have you been doing it for? Which routine are you using? Do you have the same sensitivity, crosshair, fov?

5 days so far. A routine that has a mix of target switching, tracking, and flicks. I have 520 EDPI on cs and in kovaaks (using source sens setting). I use dot in kovaaks and did use a small crosshair in CS but recently swapped to dot in cs as well. FOV I think is 103 bc thats what i was using when i was trying to rank up in valorant, but idk what CSGO fov is

fov if you play 16:9 is 106,3 . 4:3 is 90 degrees. Yeah it might take a little more but I promise you it's worth it

Csgo is still not at that level where you need immense talent to go pro You can grind your way there

I don't know any CSGO pro that uses kovaaks or Aim Labs except for Elige and he got worse after he started grinding that
2022-01-07 22:24

Well yeah, it wasn't around when they were grinding before they went pro and did a lot of workshop maps/dm Now that their aim is good enough they don't need to work on it as much
2022-01-07 22:34

the should still use at least half the routine they used to get pro or else they're aim will be gone faster then the dads going to buy milk

Yes DM is good, but NiKo also plays 8+ maps of CS a day The hardest skill in CS is to efficiently hold angles while you're getting ferrari peeked, you can't practice that in DM You won't go anywhere with 2 maps a day
2022-01-07 22:48
2 replies
2+ maps, so sometmies 3 maps + I play at least 5 maps on both weekend day so around 80+ maps a month I'll try around 8 in weekends
2022-01-07 22:49
As a rifler you need off angles, jiggling/timings, cross fires, utility (like one way smokes) to be able to hold an angle consistently. You can't just directly hold an angle like an awper and expect to get kills when someone prefires you.
2022-01-07 23:46
Kovaaks wasn't around when he was hard grinding his aim There was also a point when pros in 1.6 laughed at the idea of deathmatching, they are usually stubborn about change

Kovaaks doesn't shoot back at you and can't mimic CS movement, pistol DM is better for raw aim
2022-01-07 22:51
4 replies
All kovaaks does is train mouse movement. You don't need enemies to shoot back to train that. If you're looking for feedback then you track your week by week progression But yes pistol dm is a good alternative if you can't pay for kovaaks
2022-01-07 22:54

What kovaaks settings? 1 wall 6 targets is a joke, shooting stationary targets is almost worthless, it has nothing on having to microadjust on a moving target that's moving in a non-robotic way
2022-01-07 22:58
1 reply
With fast and accurate mouse control, dynamic targets become static targets, it's irrelevant There are scenarios of course for dynamic targets if you're really need the practice
2022-01-07 23:19
You do know you have to move around with pistols which requires good counter strafing which you can't train in kovaaks
2022-01-07 23:48
DM is only inefficient if you're not shooting the same way you'd do in an actual match when taking a similar duel in deathmatch. Yes, the duels will not be exactly the same as they'd be on an actual match, but they can be close. Also don't waste your time playing with volume 1 and camping spawns, doing so is just useless after some time
2022-01-07 22:49
1 reply
Idk who does that but i have my volume usually on 0 when in DM and run around like a moron because then the fights you take rely on instinctive reactions and crosshair placement

idk why but kovaaks mouse feeling is so differend to cs(i didnt had that problem with aimlabs) and also on stretched res crosshair gets blurry af
2022-01-07 22:51
I do DM to get into the game, warm-up. I don't have a goal to get 1.8 K/D (which I kinda do, at Cybershoke, not the best DM server, but an accessible one), but to get the feel of the mouse. I depend on the feeling a lot. When I warm up enough, I click heads, spray correctly, move efficiently, so generally, I use DM to warm up before the game, not to train
2022-01-07 22:51
grinding competitive all the time is the best way to get better, isn't it? u'll build confidence and map knowledge
2022-01-07 22:51

if you want most improvement in shortest time kovaaks is the best, grinding comp is good if you have a lot of time and already good aim

Dm is ego boosting shit Get a team and prac, that's how u get good.
2022-01-07 23:54
kovaaks is useless for csgo when you can just train in engine
