because he has 16 maps on big events, just have to accept that it's not possible to get into top 20 this year based on how much they value sample size + big events.

theres literally an option to only show big events, as in what HLTV considers big events. they don't give a shit about how well frozen did vs shit teams in groups and since mouz barely played any maps in their big events category it means jack, especially when he only had 1.07 there whereas someone like kscerato could somewhat make it up for low maps because he had a 1.20. Elige has worse stats but on a way bigger sample size and while the team placed way better so that is valued more.

Yeah, I agree that Elige was better, but I do not understand why ropz and not frozen ? Like if ropz was in 20th place I wouldn't say anything, but he is on 18th place and frozen is still robed... hltv.org/stats/players/compare/9960/froz..

first reason to be said obv bias cause ropz is already considered one of the best players but then -------------frozen | ropz all events 1.16 | 1.18 big events 1.07 | 1.08 lan 1.10 | 1.17 ropz out performs his slightly or for lan by alot, frozen did get 1.22 at major but thats only one event whereas ropz maintained better stats for the year as a whole. Don't get me wrong I think frozen could've got a top 20 but its just unlikely with the circumstances of mouz not doing anything last year, ropz will just appear better since they already expect it from him. I do hope he gets more chances to play at big events in 2022 so he can get a fair shot at top 20 then but yeah.

They have already displayed that the amount of maps at big events apparently is irrelevant since they included Kscerato (which also makes 0 sense beeing on this list). Frozen got robbed.

kscerato's 2 worst events were blast showdown and cs summit. tier 2 events LUL he had a 1.0+ rating at every other event besides those. way better than frozen

frozens best events: cs summit 7 (tier 2) iem katowice play-in (LUL) fanatasyexpo spring cup (KEKW) snow sweet snow (matchfixing tier 3 event) flashpoint 3 closed qualifier flashpoint eu (ok) major (good but 12-14th place exit) if we add all 8 of his actual big event ratings up and divide by 8, we get 1.10. except 5/8 of them mouz exits in 10th or worse LMFAOOOOOOOOO if we add up all 10 of the actual big events elige attended and divided by 10, his rating comes out to 1.2. the main detriment to eliges rating was the past 4-5 months frozen and ropz farmed tier 2 events like fantasyexpo and snow sweet snow while elige and naf had to play at blast w navi, g2, vitality and co blast groups and finals, epl, katowice, cologne, major, eu rmr are considered true tier 1 events. the hltv stats compare function sucks lmao 0/8 delusional

Frozen's MVP was an A-tier online MVP from Flashpoint. It's definitely deserved but overall, HLTV concludes that EliGe had a better 2021 than Frozen did.

Honestly, those ranking were odds, with the partered teams and with the difference between NA RMR and EU/CIS RMR. At the same time, Liquid had to play with those RMR, so I don't blame them.

hltv is dumb. elige was only on the list bc he put himself there (he is jonathon "E-lige" after all). frozen had an amazing year with him and ropz carrying. if mouz didn't play so shit we would never see elige here

You're right. Ropz and Frozen were dragging down by their teammates. The ranking is odd as fuck : the RMR was unfair (EU/CIS vs NA/BR/AUS/Asia RMR), lan vs studio vs T2 / T1,5 (without navi) vs T1 events. Anyway, every year, some players got robbed by hltv top20. This year, it is not an exception.
