imdb.com/title/tt0070511/ The newer one with the two good actors, is pretty much the same in every way but I just feel like the older one had more "feeling", was superior, but might have been cause I watched it first. But I will try to rewatch this old one soon enough, because I remember it so fondly :)

that hallway vader scene is still the most badass and gruesome scene in all of star wars. another thing i like about the movie is the fact it has the balls to kill the entire main cast. not many movies do that

when i saw it in theatres it was just so cool. it felt like one of the first times we got to see the true evil vader (after he got the suit). the only other scene i can think of that comes close is Mauls hallway scene in clone wars season 7

The Ahsoka vs Maul was easily one of the best battles of the saga, minimum top 6, also the Luke´s hallway scene in The Mandalorian is so close, i wont lie that it made me cry a bit xD

Oh yeah I forgot Luke’s scene. That one is for sure badass but not as much as the others since they’re droids and not living. But I would say the Ahsoka vs Maul fight is honestly the second best behind Anakin vs Obiwan in 3 ngl

imo is: 1-ObiWan vs Anakin 2-Qui-Gon and Obi Wan vs Maul 3-Luke vs Vader (Empire Strikes Back) 4-Luke vs Vader and the Emperor (Return of the Jedi) 5-Yoda vs the Emperor 6- Ahsoka vs Maul 7- Dooku vs Anakin and Obi Wan 8- Rey and Finn vs Kylo Ren (I liked how the sabers looked in the snow) 9- Yoda carring Anakin and Obi Wan vs Dooku 10- whatever happened on the Episode 9, which was absolute trash Conclusion: John Williams carried the saga

Ngl the Rey and Finn vs Kylo is one of the only things I did not like about 7. It makes absolutely no sense how some hobo girl beats a trained from birth warrior by merely thinking of the force.

I understand that point perfectly, according to me Rey had to have sweated a little more, and maybe her victory could have been explained in episode 8, unfortunately it was not like that.

+1 damn right. People like to shit on all of Disney SW movies but Rogue One is right up there with the OT in my opinion.
2022-01-13 04:05

rogue one is just so good. the only other decent disney SW movie imo is force awakens (in retrospect with 8 and 9 it isnt as good as what it was when it first came out). they completely shit the bed in every aspect other than visuals for last jedi and rise of skywalker. and unfortunately, most people dont know any star wars lore so they just think those ones are the best since the visuals in the OT have not aged very well

adding, disney has been doing better with the disney plus shows however. S7 of clone wars is awesome and the last 4 episodes are some of the best star wars media, the mandalorian is really fun and has led to other spin off shows like the boba fett show (which is a well deserved show) and the bad batch was pretty good at the start too. (the ending couldve been done a lot better imo but good nonetheless)

The Bad Batch was really good imo, I think you can get a lot of good things out of the first season, there is already a good setup
2022-01-13 04:52

In my opinion, the last episode of the season (when they were escaping the sinking city) should’ve been episode 1 of season 2. Because now there is zero tension for next season. If they ended season 1 with the shot of Kamino city or whatever it’s called sinking, now THAT would’ve been a great ending to the first season

the visuals at the end of the Episode 9 were trash xd, also the last act was like seeing Avengers Endgame in the space
2022-01-13 04:54
2 replies
Yeah that’s what I felt like too. They were trying to have an avengers endgame end battle with like everyone showing up but it was just a billion faceless ships. That has no impact on me. Maybe if you actually put in 10 years of character building for it it would’ve worked but nope apparently everyone in the galaxy wants to go through super dangerous hyperspace routes or whatever because (to them) some hobo is in Han Solos ship said so meanwhile in the last movie they didn’t even wanna go chill on an ice planet with like 1% of the first/final order forces when literally Princess Leia used her personal code.
2022-01-13 08:16
Also I recommend you read my #89 comment, I wanna hear you thoughts on that
2022-01-13 08:22
Han Solo movie is not as bad as I thought, probably worth a watch if you liked Rogue One. Also it's not a movie but Mandalorian and Boba Fett are both really good and capture those Star Wars vibes so much better than Ep. 8 and 9
2022-01-13 05:10
6 replies
The boba fett show is pretty fun so far. It definitely has the mandalorian vibe to it. And ngl I kinda find it funny how Disney is now doing like all their projects between episodes 6 and 7 since that is like the prime space. There is an interesting video I watched where it states that rebels and the mandalorian actually make it so movies 7 8 and 9 are canon, but they’re not on the same timeline. There’s 2 Star Wars timelines because Ezra time travelled in a way in rebels. A timeline where Ahsoka lived after rebels (and therefore was able to guide Mando and Groku to that planet to get Lukes attention and have him be Luke’s first apprentice on this timeline instead of Kylo) while the other timeline (with episodes 7 8 and 9) Ahsoka is dead and Kylo is Luke’s first apprentice. If Disney fully embraces this and sorta rewrites how the sequels go (which I doubt) they could honestly save Star Wars (HUGE comment, we could probably turn this into a thread if it’s own at this point) No TLDR, read it if you like starwars and also tomorrow I will find the link to that video about how there’s actually 2 Star Wars timelines

I haven't seen that video but unless they introduce the world between worlds in a live action movie there's no way for this to happen, and it's still hard tbh, according to me the only correct way is to make a trilogy of the High Republic or do something with the New Republic, but no longer Skywalkers or Palpatines, the Skywalker saga probably died in episode 9, it would be a mistake for Disney to try to continue prolonging the suffering with that "Kylo Ren is alive!!" theorys. I have no idea what Grogu will do in the future, although I have no doubt that he could be a great pillar in a triology of the great New Republic after episode 9. For Uncanonize the secuels would have to first Ezra be in the Ahsoka series and then probably an Ezra series, after that explain the world between worlds in a spin off that is preferably a Darth Vader one, for everyone to see it
2022-01-13 13:35
4 replies
It technically is canon already, since Rebels remained canon after the Disney acquisition. However I agree they need to have it explained in the Ahsoka show. I wouldn’t be surprised on getting an Ezra show too since we know that in something we will be shown how both him and Thrawn survived the rebels ending. Maybe in Mandalorian season 3 they could name drop it somehow if Ahsoka shows up in that again, and build it up from there. It’s always been a dream for me to have them decanonize the sequels or like push them off to the side and ignore they happened

I think it is more likely to happen in the Ahsoka series, if Grogu does not appear in the s3 of Mandalorian there is no way in which Ahsoka appears (unless something strange happens in Mandalore), in fact I wouldn't be very surprised to see the world between worlds if Ezra appears in Ahsoka, i mean, the connection of Ahsoka and Ezra is based on the world between worlds, and the Togruta tend to be somewhat mystical so...
