How though? I don't understand people who say this. I literally profited 800% what I put into Shiba Coin. Deposited £50, and sold it all for £400. Please explain how this is a scam

imo the safest is BNB (Binance Coin), Binance is the biggest crypto exchange in the world, currently 1 BNB = 490$ or smth like this, used for smart contracts, it's probably gonna be 1000-2000$ in a year or 2, so yeah BNB is the 3rd biggest crypto after BTC & ETH MATIC is Polygon, top 13 atm, it's really good, used a lot for NFTs, really good for many other things, probably one of the most interestings BTC will keep growing too, it's the most known crypto in the world, rn it's rly low and can be a good moment to invest on, there were riots in Kazakhstan, no electricity, so ppl couldn't mine BTC, and there are many many miners in Kazakhstan, but it'll eventually reach its ATH this year (its ATH is around 69k, rn 1 BTC is 42-43k) ETH will probably grow a lot, idk if it's gonna grow a lot in 2022 or 2023 cuz they wanna switch to ETH 2.0, a 100% PoS system, it's still not the case, but basically, better for ecology (should reduce of 99% the energy consumption), and it's used for smart contracts ADA is consistently top 10 since 2015, it was created to be safer than many different blockchains, used for smart contracts too LINK is used for smart contracts too, anyway I invested a lil on HTR & HBAR, basically HTR is really interesting imo cuz it's a hybrid of blockchains and DAGs, u can search why it's good on internet if u want, no fees, u can exchange different tokens in one transaction, nano contracts (basically, it's the same as smart contracts but safer, easier, it connects to oracles, real world data interfaces basically) and HBAR is the most used and sustainable in the world, it's sponsored by many extremely big organizations like LG, Google, Boeing, IBM, EDF, some banks, etc. also, look at this : imgur.com/hOtldvS it's the fastest, no fees, greenest currency in the world so yeah, HBAR can go rly high, its market cap is only at 5 billion $, HTR's market cap is only at 300 million, for example BTC's market cap is 800 billion, ETH's 400 billion so yeah it can go rly big, feel free to spend more time to make some research but yeah, most of these coins will go up, if not all of them
2022-01-14 20:14
but basically the safest is BNB, safe af to invest on it and will probably follow ETH
2022-01-14 20:15
If you want to invest in something invest in EGLD ( Elrond EGLD). Do your own research you will see how valuable this project is.

How? A scam means that you are being falsely promised some kind of product that you purchase, and by getting scammed, you are being lied to and your money is being stolen

not you but the other guy who claimed it was a scam. you could put it both ways, how could you call it a scam just because its value rises/falls?

Well you can get scammed like in CS if you buy it from ppl. but you can't get scammed if you use legitimate trades. That's why there are wallets and markets for it.
2022-01-14 12:46
well, like in csgo, you can get scammed in crypto obviously. you can get scammed with anything. but how you stated your point before made it sound like you think crypto in general is a scam. when u buy crypto for a certain value, and then later this value drops to zero because of market fluctuation etc. then you were not scammed. you just gambled and lost. now when the value drops to zero because the ppl you bought it from left with all the money, then you got scammed. but that is obviously not what normal crypto trading/rates is about.

biggest scams always make some of the first people to get into it rich. they're all about timings. i dont believe crypto and tokens are a scam, generally, but i just dont see them making any economical sense, specially as such high value assets.
2022-01-14 12:28
Cause these things just have value because it's overhyped to Mars. It's not a scam in it's core, but then you get all these alt coins which people buy just because they hope that they will increase in value, not that they have a practical use.

True but only if you actually put your life savings. Same goes for stock market. What ever you do you should invest with maximum of 30% of what you can afford you can't put all your money it's just plain stupid. For example I invested around 10k in crypto over period of of 1.5 years and as a result I would invest like from 200-1000 monthly and it payed off big time but I still work my job and now I use money I earned to further my profits. Be smart and do research and it's all fine

Well, i bought btc multiple times, but the average price I bought is around 50k. I have Eth too. I bought eth when it was 1.8k ish now it's 3.2 k. I am still holding the btc and eth that I bought. I have around 1.2k $ worth of Btc now, maybe 750$ worth of Eth, around 350$ worth of OMI, around 200$ worth of multiple alt coins like, SOL, Shib, Doge, Link, Mana, Ada and few others. I bought 150€ of eth at the price of 1.6k and sold when eth was all time high so 150€ was turned into 450€. And the price dropped down so I bought some again. Other than that I didn't sell anything yet. As of now I am down in value/negative profit in btc and alts, but positive profit in eth, that is if I sell everything now. Anyway I keep my crypto on Blockfi where I earn some passive income by lending it and I am waiting for the bull market. I know the price will be increase a lot more in the future. Price going up and down doesn't scare me. I had 1000€ invested and I was down 200€ then up 200€, so I learned to be patient and HODL haha

bitcoin and ethereum are the currencies of the future. bitcoin went from 60k to 40k really fast because of inflation fears, meaning people wanted less-risk assets. therefore, that reflected the people who thought of it as an investment, rather than a currency, backing out shitcoins are gambling and a ponzi scheme nft artwork is dumb and will be rugpulled because the artwork has no utility. it will come back years down the road though when you need to buy nft art for a profile picture/avatar in a virtual reality mmorpg nfts in general are good though because they protect property rights (though i've heard of them getting stolen somehow lol)

obviously not otherwise bitcoin would be at 0, not 40k, because the only way anything without backing has value is if large institutions/countries adopt it as valid currency
2022-01-14 18:42
how do you evaluate risk associated with bitcoin? There's literally NOTHING behind it and you're spending actual money for 1 and 0 on your screen and hoping that it will cost more tomorrow, like what? if you want to invest FOR REAL, then invest in land, apartments, businesses, after all, but not in digital "currency". No one's investing in currencies, so why would crypto be a valid option for that? not even gonna talk about NFT, pure money-laundering scheme.

Volatility and regulatory outlook are two risks. People invest in USD (a fiat currency) all the time... it just means you're holding cash as it appreciates against other assets. You can invest in things without backing because of institutional adoption, which IS the backing. You don't know what an NFT is. An NFT is a decentralized digital token of ownership. It replaces the government. Digital artwork has no use, so therefore NFT artwork has no value.

Flag checks out so much. Keep spending your mother's money for the "future". You don't own anything just because it was signed on a single platform. You don't own anything just because unregulated platform says so. You don't own anything because it's not real. Just like your Steam account, it is literally said in the User Agreement that it belongs to Valve. Hoping that someone else will buy your virtual asset isn't backing. Invets in land before it's too late and admit your latent gambling addiction if you actually believe in crypto. Money doesn't come from nothing.

You are LITERALLY saying that fiat has no value if you don't believe crypto can be a currency. As long as institutions hold fiat it has value. El salvador, banks, and other countries are institutions that hold crypto, therefore it will have value. stop being so reactionary, 55% of banks would seem to disagree with you markets.businessinsider.com/news/currenc.. are you going to disagree with the most powerful asset management divisions in the country? study finance and then get back to me. by the way, I don't personally have Bitcoin because I do not see the point in buying it without a large salary and without total institutional adoption (yet)

It can't be a currency and Tether proved it several times. Telling people that it's backed by US Dollar and then printing infinite amount of USDT, buying Bitcoin using those printed USDT tokens and sell BTC for REAL money = bumping market and inflating prices of all cryptos. ft.com/content/529eb4e6-796a-4e81-8064-5.. whale-alert.io/transaction/tron/1a23f7a8.. If you'd rather invest in e-coins and ignore land/real estate markets, then it's your choice to gamble, but don't tell people around you that it's the future, otherwise you should book yourself a place in the asylum.
