As if I was talking about an American intervention.. What I'm saying is that there's always a third party trying to profit from the rebellion whether it's political opposition, underground militants or a helping hand from a different country

nope, it's much easier. just an internal redistribution of power in the country and the struggle for the power and spheres of influence between Nazarbayev and Tokaev. Nazarbayev successfully escaped the country and took out billions, and now the next king in the country will be Tokaev, who will put all his friends and relatives in the highest positions in the country. everything was pre-planned between putin and tokaev just to expel nazarbayev who wouldn't let putin put his dick in the ass of a kazakhtan over the past 20 years. just my opinion and perspective.

It all started quite peacefully last week. The population took to the streets to demonstrate against the doubling of gas prices. Many Kazakhs like to fill up on liquid gas because it is actually much cheaper than petrol. But in the course of the protests, the mood has changed. Especially in the metropolis of Almaty, there have been more and more calls for a new government. People have started looting shops, setting cars on fire, and also storming buildings. And there have also been shootings. In response to the protests, Kazakhstan's President Tokayev has asked for help from a Russian-led security alliance, which has responded by sending in "peacekeepers" to end days of unrest. More than 2000 of these soldiers are now in the country. The president speaks of terrorists as being to blame for the uprisings. He wants to punish them with maximum severity. And so he had the demonstrators shot at. The result: probably 164 dead and 2200 injured. However, it is difficult to verify whether these figures from the Kazakh authorities are correct.

2022-01-15 13:28
it was peacefull demonstration against the doubling of gas prices. then somehow it turned to a riot (with explosions, shooting, cars at fire and etc) against the regime that kazakhstan have now. its about first president nazarbayev still holding power in his hands. CSTO didnt really participated, just defended important positions. Kazakh military and a lot of special force units did the job

On 10 January, the government declared a day of mourning for victims of the protests.[33] On 11 January, Tokayev said that order had been restored in Kazakhstan and the protests were over.[34] He announced that the CSTO troops would begin withdrawing from the country on 13 January, and would be fully withdrawn in the next 10 days.[35] In a speech to parliament regarding the past days, he acknowledged public discontent over income inequality and criticized Nazarbayev and his associates due to their wealth.[36] He also nominated a new prime minister, Alihan Smaiylov.[37] International flights were resumed to and from the country's capital, Nur-Sultan.[38] 164 people killed[10] (mostly protesters)[11] 18 security forces members killed[12] (possibly included in the figure of 164 dead)[11] More than 9,900 people arrested[13] All went to shit once Putin interfered. One dictatorship helping out another one.
2022-01-15 14:25
If the revolution had succeeded it would be an inspiration for us too but unfortunately dictatorship have won again. Thanks Kazakh brothers at least you gave me a little hope.
