Why on Earth would you compare a motorcycle to a car,ofc its going to be faster when it weights 10-15 times less
2022-01-15 18:33
1 reply
I replied to someone paying double for the same car, but with a bigger engine. So his only objective is to have a fast car. (0-100 in 4,4s) Last time I checked, cars wanted to race me all the time. So should I tell them all they can't, because someone on HLTV said we can't compare motorcycles to cars? A normal motorcycle weighs around 200kg. A normal car around 1400kg. Your math is not even close. And why can't a 700hp car race my 115hp bike?
2022-01-16 11:16
Motorcycles and cars are 2 different things. So is appearance and performance. A cheap shitbox can beat a porsche on drag race but does it make it a better car?
2022-01-15 20:52
4 replies
I would love to see the cheap shitbox beating a Porsche in a drag race. That would require some serious performance upgrades, and that would make it an expensive shitbox. Making your argument invalid. RWD and 4WD cars are also two completely different things. Yet they race all the time.
2022-01-16 11:19
3 replies
Depends on what you define as expensive. Dont need more than few k.
2022-01-16 12:08

When you say Porsche, I think of a current Porsche, like a GT3. That's what most people think when you say "Porsche" in 2022. And that's a 3,4s 0-100 car. I would love to see you make a "cheap shitbox" doing 0-100 in 3,4s. Every single FWD car is ruled out, you won't get FWD under 4,5-5s. Unless you're doing huge dragracing tires etc. So a RWD old BMW maybe, you would need a big turbo and a lot of engine parts upgraded to be able to handle the stress. That's definitely more than a "few k". Or maybe an old 4WD Audi or VW.. Still, with a turbo engine, it's not even in the "cheap shitbox" category. So yeah, it's just not possible. 3,4s is fucking fast.
2022-01-16 12:21
1 reply
It is a cheap shitbox when you go get an old piece of shit for nearly free and just use ~5k on parts for the engine and decent drag tires. All preferred 2nd hand. Its still a shit car that makes 0 sense because you're throwing money in the toilet in useless shit, but you can make it fast on a straight line. The point is why the fuck are you talking about 0-100 times to a guy thats doing aesthetics mods on a daily driver? And especially comparing things that are not related to each other.
2022-01-16 13:51
yea i mean its a bike. you cant drive it in colder month. also a traffic accident can end deadly. im happy with the car. it looks absolutely stunning on the road if tuned.

Just wear warmer clothes. Most people don't drive their sports cars in the winter aswell. I would definitely have a winter car aswell, if I had an M5 or something like that. I drive like 50-60k km in my MB a year, and still do 10-20k on my bikes in the summer. It looks better if tuned? How? :D
2022-01-16 11:25
1 reply
warmer clothes or not, its still cold. nobody is driving a bike in fall or winter. and a m340i is not comparable to a lambo or whatever. the m340i has also all wheel drive which is great in winter too. type m340i tuned in youtube or google. it looks so good compared to stock.

I've never had any positive feelings while driving, I am never relaxed while driving, I prefer to walk or metro to any transport unless I am unable to reach the destination point without a car.

I loved it during classes and the exam was very fun too but my car is quite different than the one i practiced on at the driving school. I didn't really have time to invest in getting used to it due to uni stuff, i've only driven it a few times with my dad and was very uncomfortable due to the differences, also i feel like i know nothing about traffic even though i passed both theory and the practical exam first try. Kinda scared/ashamed (of how terrible i am and gonna look to others) to sit in the car alone and practice.

Yes I like driving but at first it was a totally different story. I got the driver's license as soon as I could because parents pushed me to do it and I saw I probably need it anyway but after I got it I barely drove for like 2 years or so, was always extremely nervous when I went with the car, at times my back would even get sweaty from all the worrying of doing something wrong and potentially endanger someone else in the traffic. As I got a my first proper job I had to start driving my car more often and my boss encouraged me to just take it slow and easy at first, not putting any kind of pressure knowing I wasn't quite comfortable about driving at that time but as I start driving I got more confident about it and soon I even started enjoying it even. Today I have a Mazda 3 2020 that is a bit of a "driver's car" I'd say, it's not particularly fast but it has good driving mechanics so you feel what's happening between the wheels n the ground and has good steering and good (manual) gearbox in my case. Before I had a Honda Civic 2007 1.8l sport version that I also though had good steering and rather stiff suspension so it also felt great/stable on the ground. Even the brakes characteristics matter, personally I greatly prefer a more linear breaking feel so it doesn't grip instantly when you press only a little bit but slowly grows in breaking power) I think it also matters what car you drive too, driving my parent's Nissan Qashqai, even if it's the faster 1.6 Turbo 163 hp version (the turbo in particular is really well tuned in that car) the car is just boring to drive with the high center of gravity being a SUV and totally lacking feel in the electrically powered steering wheel, there's like no feel at all and the gearbox feels also weird so I feel I want to just get out of the car ASAP when driving it. For me the "fun" comes from a lower center of gravity so it feels more like you are "hugging the ground" / overall feels more stable and good steering and gearbox and (linear) brakes. Fast engine helps, but not necessity for me.

Driving is great, just not city driving during rush hour Too bad Helsinki sucks to drive in for 20 hours/day

Hate it, people here drive with no lights at night hoping someone will pull out in front of them and collect insurance. Could have died a month ago, looked both ways, no cars, pulled out and a car going fast turns his lights on honking his horn, did not slow down.
2022-01-15 16:07
I like the part where I have the freedom to go drive by myself and get from a to b fast I don't like the process of driving
2022-01-15 16:16

I hate driving as well, doesn't help that I live in a pretty dense area so it's more standing stationary than driving. Never had any fun taking lessons either. Don't own a car for that reason, just a moped/scooter as I never have to go further than say 20km anyway. Saves me a decent amount of money too.

Depends on car, circumstances and route. Good tarmac and nice turns with my current st-line focus is nice. 5h going 60 kmh, 80kmh and 100kmh, cameras everywhere and no fast lane is boring and annoying af

No, and it especially sucks during winter. I do enjoy the scenery at times, but driving itself is not fun for me.
2022-01-15 19:47
Driving is nothing special, i don't like or hate it. It's just a necessity
2022-01-15 19:50

I like driving because i'm too tall to go on the back seat of most cars so driving doubles my chances of being in a good seat

2022-01-15 20:52
driving in cities with huge traffic = aids driving alone in the night, preferably at highway = best thing ever
2022-01-15 22:54
yes I am thankful for being able to drive so as a guy who used to WALK to train stations and other places it is an absolute blessing. however I feel extremely cautious and wary about some of the questionable discpline some drivers have on the road which causes me stress and anxiety when they happen
