Even on hltv confirmed they had trouble deciding which is better. They said both will be top 10 and one will be top 5.
Malek > Adren (Adren has bad strats and hype/leadership, Liquid was only amazing due to firepower)
IGL: Stewie > Nitr0 (Stew better in every aspect except ego/malding)
Star Rifler: Brehze = Elige (Check stealer Brehze of 2021 who played Valorant all day was still a beast, now he's motivated)
AWP: Cerq = oSee (Cerq only bad because EG was a pit of despair and proven in tier 1, oSee not that good in tier 1)
Lurker/Anchor: NAF >= Autimatic
Support: Shox >= RUSH
My flair is not bias, I support both teams equally. EG is just more exciting due to returning players and being the second top 10 NA team for the first time in a year.

I don’t think that EG hit top 10 with Auti and rush.
+1 rocking EG, but honestly pumped for all CS teams. It feels exciting again, especially for NA.
I also want to see Astralis not bomb, I want to see Fnatic keep their streak up, and there a few eu and cis mix teams that could be cool too.

This. I have hard time seeing either team making top10 consistently. They have potential in paper but potential rarely fully happens especially with more experienced players. And all the other teams, especially cis teams, are getting better every year.

I look at the top 10 and generally disagree when it comes to liquid they look like the 7th or 8th best team on paper and eg are gonna float around 20 to start the year and end the year around the 9-10 range. Col are most likely 20-15

I actually hope that you are right. Would do great for NA cs and cs in general. But I wouldn't put my money on it.

I would say Liquid that EliGE and oSee are better than Brehze and Cerq, both just haven't had form recently. I would also say that Rush may actually be a better support, since shox has not often played the support role. The thing that conerns me with both teams is their IGLs. Nitr0 could very well be out of date, and I still don't trust Stew as an IGL

Everyone on TL unanimously agrees Stew has the best tactical mind for CS they've seen, and he makes 99% of the mid round calls. I'd say his skill and being up to date makes his better for the time being

Naf is better than all five eg players. Putting = to automatic is ridiculous. It is not 2018.
Elige had better year than Brehze and honestly Cerq is NA acor rn, I think Glaive has better ratio than him.

You're right about that. I hope they will go eu soon. I like how eg has changed I cannot deny that. I really liked before, but watching them at the na rmr was almost heartbreaking. At least, now they have cohesion.
And httv confirmed like to bash on na. Liquid is staying longer in na = lazy bastard. Vitality is enjoying time together in a resort = good moves. Both are not practicing much.
to be very honest the best team is the extra salt core which will go to COL
nitr0 > Stewie if Stewie was better he would have been the IGL in 2019.
ELiGE > Brezhe ELiGE obviously one of the best NA players
NAF > automatic LOL
oSee > cerq fresh talent vs washed talent

This EG roster is the NA equivalent to Last Dance - only delusional fans living in the past think these washed up bots have any chance of making it into top20. Even if they buy a bunch of free invites into tier1 tournaments, they'll remain 'a bye' for any decent cis/eu team.
If they actually competed in european t2-t3 scene they wouldnt even make playoffs of lootbet cups and shit like that most of the time. Top30 teams like Mad Lions or Eternal Fire would wipe the floor with them.
This Liquid roster might cause some upsets and stay bottom half of top10 if Nitr0 is not a complete joke (big if). Otherwise they'll have to find a new IGL and struggle for the rest of the year because they're a bunch of primadonna manchildren.

I can only see Navi, Vitality, and Gambit as top 5 contenders currently.
Liquid this year was top 10 with shit awp, shit igl, shit support, bad mental. All of those problems are now fixed, and they are one of the best teams on LAN. They were the 2nd best team of 2018 and 2019 for example but fell off to onliner covid era.

EG has way too many question marks on basically every player but stewie performance wise (who himself has big question marks on if he can actually be a good IGL). The one upside they have is a good coach in Malek, but there's no guarantee that all or even any of these players will be at a top 10 level. Complexity is basically every NA hot prospect minus osee and everyone who bounced to valorant. They'll probably start off slow, but this is a super young team with potentially a massive ceiling.
Liquid has Elige and NAF, enough said. If osee finds his comfort, that's a world class core, and even if he doesn't, I sincerely doubt that they'll ever be out of tier 1

If analysts were always right, no one would watch games.
Liquid will be fine, and honestly they may look very, very similar to the grand slam Liquid very quickly.
I also believe that EG will be a dumpster fire and ES will surpass them easily to be the #2 team in NA.

shox <<<<<<<< RUSH, shox isn't a support player, RUSH is. Simple as that. Assuming RUSH gets the roles he's best fit for RUSH will be the better support player by a long shot.
