Basically that there's a huge gap between Navi and Gambit this year, as is shown by the attached image from HLTV Top10 Team Rankings. However, Gambit has 3 Top6 players, while Navi has 1, which shows s1mple's excess impact, compared to everybody on Gambit. That's what OP is saying.

It's not like NAVI have S1mple and 4 1.00 players, the difference between 9/7 and 6 place is so small to draw any conclusion about it You can say that S1mple being so much more impactful than Sh1ro makes NAVI better + of course mental state, larger pool of reactions etc etc

Ofc, just look at any team's average ratings. And then look at how much above or below are the various players, compared to the team's average. Gambit is higher rated than Navi, across the year: hltv.org/stats/teams?startDate=2021-01-0.. s1mple maintains a +0.23 to +0.26 across overall stats and across LAN respectively, compared to Navi's average. Note: Ofc Navi's success is a team effort. The point is that s1mple provided a huge boost, which is reflected in the stats.

Again, the difference in 0.02KD/0.01 rating is so small that it doesn't make a lot of sense for me to make any global statements about it As you can think eg about tournaments like IEM Summer/Winter, Blast Showdown, V4 tournament etc and this little difference can come from these tournaments which ruins the whole statement about Gambit players being better than NAVI overall

Thing is Navi were shaky first 6 months of 2021, particularly electronic and b1t (or flamie), it was a solo carry for s1mple. But if we make a top5 since cologne, when Navi started winning everything, then Navi has 3 top5 players

I mean yeah it's majority S1mple, but I think it's more about them figuring out a solid team structure than anything You don't have to have the best players to be the best team. Heroic for example didn't have anyone in the top-20, but were still one of the best teams in the year

hobbit will be in the top 20 4sure ... imo nafany > Boombl4, but when Boombl4's peak is slightly above nafany peak, Perfecto > Interz 10000% , S1mple > Sh1ro no disscusion, Elec >= Ax1le... it depends on the map...Ax1le >> Elec on mirage, but on Inferno, Nuke Elec >>> Axile, on the rest of the maps they are quite similar...B1t = Hobbit... the experience can place hobbit above B1t, but u cant negate the talent of B1t and his insane aim.... its quite hard to compare these 2 guys

s1mple is the goat of csgo, no surprise he's a main factor of NaVi winning and having an era. But other teammates and coach have their own important impact (not only hltv numbered) as well.
