What are you basing it on?
The ONLY thing he's ahead of sh1ro in is stats in LAN events.
NiKo 0 MVPs while sh1ro has 3(?). Sh1ro's team also won s tier events while G2 hasn't won anything in 2021.
On top of that, sh1ro is ahead overall in rating.
And yes, I know, that the events Gambit won were ONLINE events and not LAN events.
But they are STILL S TIER events, they won IEM Katowice etc, it's just that unfortunately we have COVID, so S tier events were played online instead.

sh1ro will get #3 because electronic losing to ax1le and hobbit means online events matters almost as much as LANs so the only thing niko gets the better of sh1ro is LAN stats and they are taking this away from him. there is no way sh1ro loses 3rd spot to niko

tbh in fact NiKo has better overall stats (just slightly lower rating 2.0 due to sh1ro's useless dpr, but insane 1.32 vs 1.15 impact, 86 vs 75 adr, 1.23 vs 1.15 against top5, 1.23 vs 1.19 against top10 *so it means sh1ro was statpadding against weaker teams while NiKo was showing the best performance against the best*)
but it won't be enough anyway I think. Just in my opinion NiKo is a much better player and that's it

Someone can be a better player, but the top 20 is based on how they performed in a specific year and tbh sh1ro has performed better this year, even though as most saw, NiKo's peak is higher and he's a higher carry when he's on point.

I think he will be 4th and Sh1ro will be 3rd, but I have my fingers crossed for NiKo #3, just because he did it all with a rifle, as opposed to S1mple, ZywOo and Sh1ro, and I would love to see some appreciation for that, as we all know (even pros say it themselves) that AWP is much easier to have big stats than a rifle, and NiKo is probably the best pure rifler on earth right now.

anyways this whole thread is stupid if you look at stats alone 0nly .03 rating diff for shiro but .17 impact and over 10 adr for niko ... which is just LOTS better + he did it with rifles which imo should count for something aswell as awp taxes eco etc.
and don't forget lan and top 5 10 20 diff ... sh1ro farmed some shit events
actually when listing all this i don't think there is any world where sh1ro can place 3rd

Dude, it does not make sense to compare the ADR and Impact rating of a super aggressive rifler to a passive clutch awper.
First of all, riflers NATURALLY has a higher adr, thats just how it is
And super aggressive riflers like NiKo usually has a higher impact rating as well
I will agree, that playing awp and having that role makes it a bit easier to get a very high rating. I don't think it's possible for a rifler to get a rating like ZywOo and s1mple consistently.
But you're exaggerating how "easy it is" with an awp soo fking much.

ZywOo has a significantly better performance BOTH online, on LAN and overall in the entire year. Also, ZywOo has a MVP and a tournament win, while NiKo has none.

I think the reason that NiKo could be behind sh1ro is just the way G2 doesn't win even without NaVi in the tournament. You might say "his team is trash" etc etc but 2018 s1mple had worse teammates ( jackz amanek nexa to flamie edward zeus) and he still win Cologne 2018 (beats Astralis and Crowd driven BIG).
If NiKo even wins 1 trophy, just 1. i think he's above Sh1ro, personally i think NiKo should be higher but this is hltv's list not mine.
