find it a bit surprising that discord has got the majority vote, I started using ts in 2015 for 1.6 clan wars and never really switched, played a bit on discord w friends, even tho the sound is better, discord fcked my fps and ping, and after a short time I made them switch to ts
I'm single again :)))

yes and I think subjective can be objective when it is used positive but not negative as negativity cancels objectivity and subjectivity denies the opportunity to be subjective and not objective.

i mean, it depends on your connection, the servers connection and on the connection of the person you're talking to. but on ts, especially if you play on lan, you have basically no delay. if you play on lan with discord, you still have fat delay, because you cant host your own discord servers.

Only used ts for a while, my mate got hacked thru ts, so we switched to discord, which has been a lot more user friendly aswell

Discord rocks, I’ve never needed to use ts and always found it to look confusing and unnecessarily complicated while offering no benefit (this thread has been the first place where I’ve heard of Discord related fps issues)

Weird, I have a very low end pc at my grandpa’s house that runs discord&CS together with around 80-100 FPS without issues. Maybe I could have way more with ts but if it exists it has never been a problem to me

That might be you've been using it for a long peroid of time. I honestly find TS confusing because there's no real friend system like on discord and joining servers is just a pain cuz there's no big "join" button You can't really send anyone a DM, and you can't screenshare. It also just looks really boring but that has nothing to do with the ease of use. Also hosting servers costs money where doing so on Discord is just free.

That's the thing "If you know how to do it" People don't wanna find out how to set up and host a server they just wanna press 1 or 2 buttons and be able to invite their friends.
The friends thing is a big deal with alot of people including myself, Especially those who have friends that play crossplatform where you can't easily send em like a steam DM. Or those who just wanna have all their contacts in 1 place.
Screensharing is another one that is actually pretty important. It's how alot of communities host their movie/anime nights or play games like Jackbox.
Issues with DCs don't happen that often if you have a good and stable internet connection. Sure they happen alot more then on TS but platforms can't be perfect.
Discord also provide more to those who want more then just a VC platform. with stuff like Screenshare, Private chats, ect. And with it's simple, easy and new user friendly design. Targets and is able of keeping a wider audiance then TS. TS is great if you want VCs and just VCs with no strings attached but if you want to build a big and large community and host virtual events like a movie night or what not. Discord does that better.

Discord is better and more friendly to use but it drains my fps even with acceleration off so I use ts
Sound on discord better? I experience the opposite. At least background noise remover and stuff like that is way better on TeamSpeak.
The thing I like the most about TeamSpeak is that I have full control. If the server dies I can check it and fix it, or just start backup if I want (never had problems though). When Discord dies (daily) you're screwed :)

people who use teamspeak are idiots running csgo at 40 fps. a pc from the last decade is capable of running csgo and discord at the same time without any noticable drops. i know cuz i was doing it in 2016-2017. its like saying "uh guys i actually listen to my music on youtube instead of spotify because i just find it easier to use and it gives me more fps even though its a clearly inferior option!!!"
