Libram is definitely tier 1 even without mutanus though. You don't really even need him, but he can be helpful.

they did a lot to remove p2w aspects. i have spent 0$ since i dont really play but have it to play with some buddies, and im able to build meta decks and compete, with minimal grinding

time investment is also not f2p. It is p2w. You pay money or time. DotA is really f2p. You can play the whole game from the first day.

free2play means you can play the whole game for free. All others is pay2win when you don't have to pay for the game itself. This is no question of your or my definition this is what it is.

Well, for me, pay2win means paying to get advantages over other players. In Hearthstone, you can craft the best deck in the game through free 2 play in every meta with ease. Hearthstone is pay2skip, not pay2win.

There are always meta decks that need 1 specific card. if you don't have it you have to play with a shit deck. Hearthstone is pay2win was it from the first day and every card game is it MTG as well.

You can just craft that specific card from the cards and dust that you get from your dailes and weeklies. You won't be able to play every deck in existance while being free2play, but you definitely will be able to craft the strongest deck(s) in any meta. So again, it's not pay2win since paying doesn't actually give you a competitive advantage

It is pay to skip some of the grind, but you can get 1 fairly good deck rather quickly and then go from there. You won't have a lot of variety if you go full f2p but it's doable

I stopped playing constructed in 2018, then went back again in mid 2021, hit legend with some paladin shit deck and stopped again, but I play BGs like every two days while eating something or watching youtube. Cool game mode, completely f2p))

It's more like pay to have fun. If your objective is just to climb and you don't mind playing the same deck hundreds of games, you can do it easily on a F2P account

no you can get every card on F2P but you will have to spend a ridiculous amount of time grinding for packs and then there's RNG of actually opening them, unless you're like an arena god, that's not really possible

its not pay to win but definitely pay to brew. you can netdeck and make 1-2 competitive decks an expansion with no money
