No pretty sure NaVi dropped it because G2 wouldn't buy otherwise Doesn't matter anyway by the time his standard 2/3 year contract is up he'll be developed and just go straight back to NaVi

that is assuming he will ever touch s1mple's level of play. s1mple has been playing at a top 10 level since like 2016. There is no reason he just drops off enough where m0nesy is a better choice.

s1mple istn a awper. it is just the easiest way to kill so s1mple rifle m0nesy awp

worked in TL for a single tournament and jdm had a .97 rating at the major lmfao. put s1mple on the best roles no matter what. even if m0nesy is the next guardian (aint happening) s1mple will still be the best awper

m0nesy is not next gurdian cause guardian just played AWP m0nesy is next sh1ro

sh1ro's style is very different from M0nesy's I don't think atm he has a place in NaVi main roster but if someone leaves, we know very well that S1mple can be star rifler as well. And who knows maybe even M0nesy. Let's wait and enjoy the counter strike ffs.

i mean that m0nesy isnt just an awper like guardian more likea 60/40 like sh1ro and yes i think they could work togheter in the future

GuardiaN was a sub-0.9 rated primary AWPer, when a player like s1mple already existed on the roster. You have to imagine that it would be extremely tilting for s1mple to see GuardiaN play like that, and he would think every round that he'd do a much better job than GuardiaN. With a good AWPer, this is not gonna happen.

They wanted to sell it to a T2 cis team with a buyback clause for less money I guess, but G2 paid 600k to get him with no clause.

overpriced.
2022-01-18 14:30
600k is what's rumored, being 1M with salary for x years, but we really don't know because those are confidential. Agree about being too much because it's a coinflip, but if it goes well it's a big reward.

the buyout itself is overpriced. if the guy gets paid that amount in salary for what is probably a 2+ year contract isnt as bad as paying 600k upfront for the best t3 awper.

yes. that is a better way to sell it. they are selling his contract not m0nesy

yes. thats pretty much the same thing tho
2022-01-18 14:27

it si a diffrence. cause g2 cant buy m0nesy for 5years from navi if the navi contract is 2 years.
2022-01-18 14:28
1 reply
thats true yea, but I dont think anyone means buying for any longer than what the contract was when they say "g2 bought monesy" but yea they would obviously buy from navi for the length of the remaining monesy contract with navi and then have to make a separate contract with monesy if they want him for longer
2022-01-18 14:33
I'm pretty sure I heard somewhere that the player has to agree to the transfer.
2022-01-18 14:39

they dont, it is common practice that teams want their players to agree to transfers but its not mandatory

And you have a source about this? I know its common practice in many sports but that doesn't always apply to e-sports.

2022-01-18 20:51
depends on his contract, probably not
2022-01-18 14:20
No that 600k would definitely just be for Na'vi But M0nesy is definitely getting a five-figure paycheck every month from G2

its only for navi
2022-01-18 14:27
yea, most probably not
2022-01-18 14:29
of course not. it's just like football player transfers. Real madrid paid about 90 million transfer fees to united and ronaldo got nothing from the transfer fees.
