i think he's right, 2018 s1mple had to play with 3 bots, although he baited more than he does know

this "baiting" bullshit is the same level stupidity as "awp abuser" thing it seems like CS:GO community gets worse and worse in terms of brain evolution

alex vitality was all about alex baiting for zywoo and blamef plays the style of igl to make himself be the most lethal player in his teams, literally baiting

people peak at different ages, its hard to tell. probably
2022-01-21 11:54
there is a possibility that simple can burn out soon. i surely wouldnt wanna see that, but the brighter a star shines, the sooner it fades away i think

No, not really
2022-01-21 11:55
yeah, and should retire asap
2022-01-21 11:56
even better this year
2022-01-21 11:57
- s1mple 2021 = the most confident top1 in CS history (of both 1.6 and CS:GO) - NAVI's 2021 Major victory = the most confident Major victory with the hardest bracket

dude what during pgl majors most pros and rosters were far below their peak form ( While a few like niko or b1t peaked ) probably one of the weakest competitions ever faced

NAVI have won the toughest opponents in play-offs dunno what are you talking about... Vitality, gambot, G2
2022-01-21 12:04

who exactly? you're going by names of orgs not by the form their players were actually in gambit were newbies g2 only had half the team performing vitality was in shambles except zywoo faze was nowhere near the 17/18 faze heroic didnt have any standout player the brazilian superstars didnt even make it liquid was way weaker than they ever were etc etc

with the same kind of logic we can say that any team who won a Major did it with "low competition"... There was no "low competition", NAVI just smashed everyone so it looked easy as never.

not really if you compare the players and teams to their own previous peaks you'll see most t1 players were a shadow of themselves last year and there was not a huge influx of new talents to fill that up either

s1mple is gonna fall off hard this year. he is way too arrogant atm and will probably stop working as hard as before because he won a major. heard it here first.

2018 s1mple >> others. in 2021 s1mple wasnt particularly insane, more like it was because navi is always winning and s1mple get many comfortable situations. i hope i am wrong, but i expect s1mple to not in top 3 in 2~3 years, or might be even this year cuz only awpers can counter awpers and so many talented awpers are coming up these days.

I think s1mple leveled up so much on LAN and th rest of NaVi had more comfortable situations

And no one will be able to create a threat for s1mple. They are too inexperienced to do something relevant in their first years. M0nesy has the best chance since he's got the best team out of them 3, but he's probably the most overrated player ever. Kid is 16 y.o and some delusionals really expect him to fight s1mple for top1
2022-01-21 13:48
He was already kinda falling off after the major, maybe motivation issues? i definitely think his PEAK PEAK Performance was IEM Cologne 2021, i genuinely think NaVi could have won a 4v5 against any team just because of s1mple in that tournament

He was having bad/mediocre games, sure his stats were amazing but his impact and consistency were dropping, but one of the big reasons of why he still had VERY GOOD stats was because NaVi doesnt rely on him as much as they used to anymore, so even if he isnt having his best days he can still frag out a ton since NaVi as a team has improved alot

His impact and consistency barely dropped lol. Plus they were a bit burnt out at the end of the year and he was still the best at those tournaments.

He had a couple of bad games. including the Liquid one, then they got a dose of reality when they lost a LAN Game after 2 years and realized they can actually lose games and then s1mple popped off again. i honestly dont expect him to be #1 this year again since i find it very unlikely that all 5 NaVi players can remain consistently good and win tournaments like they did this year

S1mple wasted his peak at TL, trying to carry NA. Now he is still at his peak but at some point he is going to wane, sooner or later he won't be the s1mple we know and that is sad because he just plays out of his mind the last 4 years
2022-01-21 13:39
his peak was 2018, he only had similar performance because navi was so good this year

I think he will stay GOAT'd in 22 also but I think this year was the ceiling, what more can he do? Only thing left is best stats on all maps if NAVI plays all 9 ofc. 2 Major mvps inc?
