I go to UC Berkeley, they go like this:
The common and small random ones are at some shared house or co-op, pretty cool parties and easy to get laid. The coolest ones are when some rich guys rent a beach house and everyone goes there.
In the parties, basically every time, people drink inside and play beer pong, we all dance to rap and girls grind and twerk, dancing is basically jumping or stepping, and people smoke weed outside. That's all.
Are parties at your universities (EU) any different? I'm going to Germany as a student for 5 months and have a German friend there to show me around.

I think u misunderstood original post, they don't party like that in university either. Plus where i go (UT) we have kick in week which is basically 2 week long party at the university. Idk if its same at others

Its a huge mess though. The recent trends about getting fit or achieving bodybuilder type of body literally made everyone so aggressive. You see someone, 100kg+ with nice defined muscles and so on getting his ass whooped by someone who is 70kg and has been training boxing for 5-10 years. There are always people like that that seek conflicts.
Getting drunk and making out mostly (70%), with a few touching each other's private parts somewhere in a far corner (10%). I forgot, those who are crying when drunk as well (10%), and those who are not there to drink but eat all the food (10%).

California has the best parties, nobody comes close. Beach culture and molly/raves are massive here.

I would recommend Texas. You will see obese walmart people, but best food in the world with their bbq.
Party scene is famous too. It's called Downtown Austin on 6th street. Everybody goes bar hopping.

Germany is better and I submitted my application. Will be there for 5 months at Free University of Berlin during Spring. I will travel around to the entirety of Europe this way instead of being stuck there.

Lots are organized by students or study associations. For example you join a student sports club they will have parties and go out for drinks regularly. The university will also have a semi-official club for every program which will organize parties, which may or may not be good depending on if you study something like computer science :p
Then last but not least there are lots of general student associations which range from the kinda elitist "corps" (though to be fair nowadays anybody can join, its mainly a larp) with hazing rituals to pretty much anything you can think of. These tend to organize a lot of parties and the bigger ones have their own buildings for that. A lot of these associations also organize parties that are not just for members. What happens at these parties depends on who is organizing it, basically anything from crazy drunk beerpong to ballroom dancing or singing christian hyms xD.

Yeah, self organized are usually drinking inside and listening to music, perhaps some beer pong and/or board games. Maybe some sauna depending on the place
Very rarely any dancing, we go clubbing later in the evening for that. Always some politics/deep conversations going on in the kitchen and sofas, almost never any kissing or hanky panky going around. People go home for that
More organized yearly stuff are some initiation stuff like running around the city bar-hopping and buying student priced 1-2 euro shots, and in the other end rented cruise ships with only students on board for some weekend long booze action
Well, that was before covid. Nowadays less action for me and of course no organized big events

Idiotic. I live in a city of ~110k people with a university of ~30k people. Hoco and such they take to the streets and just absolutely destroy shit, was declared a riot one year not too long ago. Kids from unis in neighboring cities come as well.
Most of the years whatever, it's one weekend and there's efforts to clean up afterwards. But last year they brought covid to the point that we were the most infectious region in Canada. It out the city in lockdown to get cases back down.
I went to that uni for two years, and it's really quite prestigious and full of smart people. But holy shit are they the dumbest smart people I've ever met

I study at Tampere, Finland and there are a shit ton of organized parties by the student organizations (ainejärjestö and kilta and such).
Usually during those people just hang out and play beer pong or other drinking games. There's not much dancing or kissing during the parties but there's a lot of that in the clubs during afterparty. Also there are a lot of other kinds of events organized not just parties (everything usually has an afterparty tho). Many clubs and bars are in agreement with student organizations so there are some student only parties and other student related activities
Also also everyone has a studentcard with which you can get discounts in certain bars, stores, events and what not
All of that when there are no corona restrictions obv

we don't have frat houses and student apartments are usually too small to throw project x type parties so clubs are where you dance and holla at girls and whatever
the getting laid part is for the end of the night usually
if your only criteria for a fun night is sex then just go straight to the club
there are some clubs here that are called "meatdesks" (rough translation) because its easy to get women
most party i end up to we end up being thrown out. i have 2 many idiot friend who want trouble. i dont want trouble but when trouble finds me im also down.

Been to uni in US and UK, UK scene is more clubbing but those kids are fucking crazy and US is just like dorm parties or frat stuff
I went to sherbrooke (quebec, canada) and every thursday there is a big party with multiple faculties and bigger ones on special occasions. When i was there, i saw around 30 ambulances coming in for alcool abuse. They often bring bands and they had to ban anyone selling alcool on campus. We could still bring our own. No games, just public drinking, dancing, fighting and breaking stuff.
