That's a foolish/ill-knowledged argument, considering that s1mple's LAN stats are a whole league above his online stats, in addition to having 100% winrate across 2021 LANs, and delivering the most impressive LAN performance of all time. And of course, s1mple being the highest rated player on LAN events in all of Tier-1 CSGO history.

not in the foreseeable future. Next year will be competetive af, so no team will dominate as much as navi. Therefore, s1mple is like 2nd in team achievements (after device), but way ahead of the pack in terms of stats. players like zywoo or niko aren't bad, but s1mple this year was a whole different beast

tbh idk what to expect at the start of the year from teams like G2 vita and others who made roster changes, if the practice time wasn"t enough, it will be a Gambit/Navi domination again which would really be boring even if they play good cs

Zywoo will never be on s1mple's level. Guy was an elite player for like 7 years at this point on awful teams. I don't think Zywoo will reach those heights for that many years.

in 2020 it was dead-close stat-wise but won with team achievements - 6 MVP's and 4 EVP's at big events

i have to tell you it s a team game, and zywoo add as much trophy in 2 years as s1mple in 6 , so it s not that bad , for now he is doing a lot better than s1mple with trophy and top1 /top 2 and mvp in just 3 years, let see in 3 more years.. for me both are more or less equal but zywoo is not at his best yet, and maybe s1mple is also not as his best yet, i think s1mple can stay in the top 3 for many years

We will see if zywoo use awp this year to the same extent (thought already 7 percent less than s1mple (kill wise)). I looked one demo, and dupreeh were pretty talented CT awp.
Bit is the second awp user with less than 4 % kill in Navi. Whereas last year shox were 12 %. It might repeat this year. So peak wise, might be lesser.
I have contacts that know how the new vitality roster is going and according to them they are looking unstoppable because zywoo finally has 2 players who are positive their whole careers. ZywOo coming for #1 he is probably the best rifler and pistol player in the world and #2 at awping.

yes, in that way i understand what you mean, but if you take proportionally, there has to be an argument, ZywOo 1st 3 years : 1st, 1st, 2nd ... it is also very consistent ;)
EDIT : actually we shouldn't even "argue" and just profit to have these 2 monsters playing in the same period, it kinda reminds me the CR7/Messi thing in football, let's just enjoy watching them because they are definitely not normal players !

I saw that one awp clip of m0nesy on mirage and I’m convinced he can surpass s1mple. When s1mple was young, csgo was still pretty lackluster in terms of strategy and overall aim/positioning. m0nesy is growing up when cs is so complex and skillful, who knows how high he can get

ZywOo is not in his prime yet, with more experience he might surpass S1mple's peak in 2021, but there's no way to be certain. Eventually there will be someone who peaks higher than either of them though, there is always a gradual improvement. That's why records and the best players of all time are most often very recent, everything improves.
Think of Magnus Carlsen in chess, none of the historical chess legends would manage to beat him, probably not even any of the runner-ups.
In CS the first player who was GOAT-worthy was GTR, but 3/4 of the top 20 now is better than his peak, though it doesn't take away how great he was, because he was the foundation on which the great players today have built, including S1mple, though S1mple peaked so much higher that GOAT status is probably even more deserved by him.
S1mple was a beast for the last 6 years now, remember that he brought an average team like Liquid to a fkn major final, if S1mple had a good team he would have been N1 for the last 6 years in a row
if zywoo wins major and top 1 this yr, he already replaces s1mple as goat.
if s1mple wins major and top 1 this yr, he will probably never be beat.
