ESL x Faceit

I'll put this out there from my PoV as someone who works with ESL: this partnership is absolutely AMAZING for esports: the development will explode. There are, however, potential ethical issues. I will do my best to ensure that nothing were to harm the esports scene in any way, especially the newly instated ggforall circuit. The whole thing is kinda badly timed in terms of PR... Interested about your thoughts on the matter, I'll reply to any questions, although the most common one (what's going to happen to us all) is easily answered: nothing for now.

Good chances of it being ESEA/Faceit as a whole, with ESEA handling the ESEA leagues, cash cups, pro play etc while Faceit does the more casual stuff

If anything this makes it less likely It'll reduce the competition, at least in the short term

Quite likely, yes

10 years ago FACEIT started by providing an open platform available for everyone and for free. This will never change.

What makes you think that "development will explode"?? They most likely just bought ESL to diversify their investment portfolio and thats all. They probably don't even care about eSports.

The key here is that they've essentially got control of 80% of the pro FPS esports market So they can shape it in any way they want, without ESL/Faceit fighting over tourney time slots etc, and they can combine the resources to make a monster

Do you have any very secret information to leak?
