What does Saudi or Korea or China do with your personal desktop data. You should only worry if you go to those countries.

Personal data is the new gold. who's to say they won't sell it to somebody who can make use of it. Also, its more of a principle that I won't give them anything, not that I am nervous about their missuse of it.

brother, do you honestly think that anyone would care about some randos personal information? sure they have kernel level access to your pc but that has been the thing with your OS this whole time. you think youre smart and trying to be on the right side by talking some bullshit about them using your information but the truth is no one really cares and your information wont be used anywhere, no matter who owns faceit or esl.

Then please do tell me how Facebook and Google are getting fined over and over again for missuse of personal data. Normally i have nothing against giving my data to companies whic I trust (as most make their money that way), but I have no reason to trust this one.

Your name truly checks out, and I don't mean it in a sarcastic way. I immediately unsubscribed from my faceit premium when i heard the news about the takeover. Luckily there are still alternative platforms.

I'll try Esportal for the time being, but it often takes me longer than 5 minutes to find a match. For you, however, it should not take so long, as the platform is mainly used by Nordic players. I hope more players will switch over in the near future.

Move to NA and have mm take 20 minutes. If I could get 5 min matches I’d save probably a half hour each day. It’s crazy the degree of separation in the game between regions when you really think about it
2022-01-27 05:15
2 replies
Damn, you guys really need to wait 20 minutes to find a match?! That's insane, dude. Tbh, I don't know if I had this patience. Edit: On Faceit it usually takes no more than 3 minutes to find a match, often even much less, but it also depends on your elo, region, etc.

I’ve played EU mm a bit, so my rank is higher than most of the legit NA players. As an MGE player I consistently get matches with silver and gn players. Faceit becomes even worse because there’s only like 10-50 people queuing at any given time, so the lobbies get really imbalanced. Personally I’ve gotten to the point where mm is more fun to play just because faceit has become lvl 10 semipro vs lvl 1 bot. Honestly that may be what I envy most about Europe lol
2022-01-27 06:34
Cool, will give it a try, even though I normally prefer not playing with danish players. For some reason they are always super toxic..
2022-01-27 05:20
1 reply
The same goes for me with German players lol. So far, I've made the experience that the people there are not as toxic as on faceit, but I have also only played about 7 matches, so I can't really tell :D
2022-01-27 05:24
Does your PC have a webcam? Have you ever entered credit card info on your pc? Have you ever done something questionably legal on your PC? Have you ever entered something like a social security number or whatever your countries equivalent is? Would you feel comfortable showing the world your browsing history? How about banking details? Investment holdings? Political views? The whole “nothing to hide” argument makes no sense because everyone has something to hide. You could be clean as a bottle of bleach and still have stuff to hide. Do you really want a foreign government, or hell, any government to have, not only access, but also possible complete control over everything I mentioned?

majority of players playing faceit/esea = Russians, Europeans in general who dont spend that much majority of skin buyers/unboxers = Chinese majority of expensive skin transactions = buff, other sites that arent steam i understand why you think faceit/esea merge might affect it, but imo i dont think it makes any difference

people who play on third party platforms put in more hours than people who play MM, on average. it's more likely for someone with 5k hours to invest in skins than someone with 500. and in general the third party platforms being more accessible it'll lead to more people playing and competing.
