It's 100% preference. There are no magic setting for cs. Pick a sensitivity, stick with it and build muscle memory, the more you change it the worse you are making yourself.
If you want proof look at the Top 3 players of 2021. There is no correlation to "good players" and eDPI

What does this even mean? s1mple plays with high sensitivity, those are his settings. Don't try to bring up some "high sensitivity abuser" noob shit.
NiKo was basically "pro" in 1.6. His settings aren't documented but I'm sure if you asked him he would tell you he has never changed his settings. Play with you are comfortable with and build muscle memory. Mimicking pro players settings for the sake of it isn't going to get you good at cs.

Moot point! Again, you still don't get it lol. Stop trying to draw correlation to this... Sure it's "uncommon" to play as a rifler with higher eDPI but that doesn't mean you can draw conclusions to a certain DPI and skill level. Plenty of high DPI riflers have wound up in Top 20 rankings throughout the years. - f0rest, Elige, Hiko, oskar, suNNy etc.
If you want to mimic NiKO just know that you are only copying him to copy him. He's not good because of his DPI, he's good because he has 20x more hours in CS than you and plays the game in a reflexive state. He doesn't "aim", his brain reacts and shoots. That is all cs is about. If he was playing at 1600 DPI for 15 years he would be just as good.

Then you need more than 1000 edpi. And by the way, you did not say your resolution, and this is very important, the same EDPI differs on different resolutions. I'm assuming you have 1280x960 (whether it's stretched or bb) If you're playing at full hd or less then you need to calculate the new sens for 800dpi

For example, for full HD, in order to achieve the same sensitivity as on 1280x960, you will need to significantly increase the EDPI because the number of pixels in height and especially in width increases greatly, which means you travel less distance on the screen when you move the mouse one inch.

is this really true, i don't think sensitivity is calculated by mouse movement to pixels, i think it's mouse movement to azimuthal angle, i have never felt my sensitivity change when i changed rez? since the FOV doesnt change (unless you're using stretched)
1000 is the edpi I'm most comfortable with

No problem brother. Sadly the .cfg link is broken in the archive link. Hopefully, he comes back to CS at some point. I downloaded one of his FACEIT demos 6 months ago, his crosshair was color 2, size 5, thickness 0, gap -1 or -2 I believe, so there's a bit of an update for ya.

i was using 400 dpi for some time but then i had pain in my right hand while playing other games, then switched to 800 dpi and still felt to slow, atm i'm using 1200 dpi and 0.77 sens in csgo and i found it to be the best for me since i'm not only playing cs but other game genres like arpgs, also i heard higher dpi and lower sensitivity is better than the other way around

you should actually set your sensitivity in accordance with your mouse pad's size. for large mousepads, any edpi between 900-1200 is ideal, i think. if you have smaller mousepad, obvly increasing sens is a better option.
on a 45x40cm mousepad and with 800 dpi, i feel comfortable with both 1.15 and 1.5 in game sens. and i used to have 1.75 on medium size mousepad.

hmm that's pretty bad... Do this: Try to do the fastest most precise 180 degree flicks in game (simulation where someone is shooting you in the back) and which sens is the most accurate, stick with that one :D
also i don't believe u can just flick on heads perfectly with all those sensitivities, maybe choose golden middle haha, idk, keep trying and good luck

You are kind of right but some people say that the res does not matter.
I started playing with S1mple 400 x 3.09 for 5 months
Played a little with Old Dev1ce or Refrezh 400 x 1.90 2 months and started improving
then went
Old Niko 400 x 1.55 3 months
Felt it was good but for agility and moving it was hurting my shoulder/arm after 1 hour of playing.
Few months ago discovered Ropz 400 x 1.77 and played consistenly, got a huge improvement on crosshair placement, aim, flicks etc..90% wrist aim..
Then I did this betway challenge..

and found my aim/movement was not perfect..something was missing.
Tried with all sens between 1.42 to 3.09 with this challenge and found that 1.85 is the perfect sens for me.
Total wrist aim and movement, consistent headshots, fast aim and precise.
got less than a minute on this challenge and I'm good.
I also use a dot (NIP Hampus crosshair) as the crosshair.
Sincerely? I believe the BEST aimers nowadays on CSGO can be precise around 900 edpi.
I use 1000 now but I used 1240 before. Just get used to your sens but I really recommend lower sens cuz it's hard to kill enemies at headshot angles if you have higher sens. For example, when I'm in short in dust2, I always get instaheadshot by a player peeking from ramp because it's so difficult to microadjust when your sens is high. Guys like s1mple and ax1le who play around the same sens (1236 and 1200 respectively) are outliers.
Generally, lower sens is more common at a pro level. There are a few outliers, like s1mple and woxic, but you don't want to define your settings based on outliers. The professional average is somewhere around 2 in-game @ 400 dpi.
When trying to find your ideal sens, realize that higher sens gives you more flexibility and lower sens gives you more consistency. Adjust your sensitivity based on what you feel you need more of in-game. Are you whiffing duels you should win? Consider going lower. Are you struggling to react fast enough? Consider going higher.
The better your game sense gets, the lower sens you can get away with, because your crosshair will already be placed where it needs to be. And whichever sens you are playing at, it's worth checking out how players with similar settings play; study which duels they go for, angles they prefer, etc.
