That is simply not true. Yekindar, who was no.8, had pretty much every stat better than B1t, even at latter half of the year. And those above even better stats.

Yeah I shouldn't compare him to Yekindar. Its disrespectful towards Yekindar who plays much harder role than B1t.

0/8, so you don't agree with me at all. Means that you think that Yekindar does not actually play any harder role than B1t. Interesting, do you even watch any of VP games?
2022-01-28 19:19

the way u say it makes it sound like bit has what he has cuz of "easier role" which is obviously nowhere near reality fact is he had 4 lans in his career and won all 4 of them, ended up top5 among ALL PLAYERS in his first lan (IEM Cologne), top5 among ALL PLAYERS in major (and 1.27 rating as well) and top3 among ALL PLAYERS in blast final with a crazy 1.32 rating if u think the only difference between him and YEKINDAR is role ur either trolling hard or just extremely delusional/biased
2022-01-28 19:26
1 reply
Yes I admit, I am biased against B1t somewhat because all the delusional B1t fans make me annoyed. I also think that Yekindar plays much harder role which of course contributes to him being a better overall player. B1t had some tournaments where he was clearly better, but its not like he always was better. Navi also won pretty much all the maps in those tournaments which helps the rating of all Navi players. B1t was in very fitting place last year at top9. This year B1t has the chance to play whole year so we can better judge him whether he truly has the skill and consistency to be even higher.

b1t was a stellar player on lan events, but lan events make less than a third of the year in terms of the events NAVI attended and roughly 3 months out of 12. He wasn't that good on the first half of the year so it makes sense as hltv gives priority to consistency rather than just peaks. Also what is that "b1t only played for half of the year" thing about? He has 168 maps which is roughly a bit more than just 20 maps less than yekindar or the remainder of the NAVI roster. He's insane but saying he deserved higher than #8 is just delusional.
2022-01-28 02:36
3 replies
in case you forgot bit only joined the team fully in april, before that he was only subbing 1 or 2 maps not to say that bit should be higher than #8 but if hltv somehow managed to make niko 3rd might as well give bit a higher spot lmao, otherwise theres 0 logic in their ranking

the only incongruity and flaw I found on this year's ranking for me was the lack of criteria for electronic under hobbit and ax1le and niko above sh1ro. Supposedly prof and striker explained on the livestream that the reason why electronic was below hobbit and ax1le despite all the accolades and lan rating was that he wasn't that consistent throughout the year and had a rather lackluster first semester, but the same applies to Niko and sh1ro. sh1ro has far more accolades but he was consistent through the entirety of 2021, while NiKo rose to the top on the last 6 months only. Everything else seems reasonably justified. I'm fine with it either way but I feel like it was a bit of a steal either shiro or the other gambit players.
2022-01-28 19:45

are we gonna mention the fact that for some reason hltv made IEM Winter a Gold-tier event (coincidentally the one where zywoo got his mvp) but teams like navi simply didnt even bother with participating in it, while BLAST Premier World Final and ESL Pro League were Silver-tier xd its just one of the examples btw, in general it just feels like there was way too many bias and tossing stats around to represent what they wanted to represent. even compared to previous years, this is arguably the most controversial one and just because they make up an explanation doesnt really make some decisions justified

2022-01-27 19:36
He is a promising young prospect but he would not be the first one to not live up to overly high expectations. I wouldn't imagine him performing to his fullest potential until later this year but it's yet to be seen what that potential is in higher tier competition. The best thing going for him is that he is just 16 yo and showing such flair so early on.

That's not out of the cards. You are right in the approach that mistakes are a good way to learn but of course I want the guy to learn from the experiences he has along the way but without the stumbling that s1mple for example had. People learn in different ways and s1mple needed that one slump to get the peak performance out of him. It's yet to be seen if m0NESY needs that to get on top.

The only way that m0nesy reaches his peak form this year is if he gives up like kennys did. If he puts in the work, he’s 4 years from his peak, at least. I will say, he does appear, and I haven’t watched many m0nesy games, be a rare breed of AWPer that can rifle with a high skill level.

Probably be like average for the first 3-4 big events, and then pop off and become a top 10 player.
2022-01-27 19:56
Okay, hear me out all the delusional Monesy fans. It will be a great achievement for such a young player away from home if he manages to keep his place in the main roster of G2 whole year and stabilize his place next to Niko. Anything above that starts to become absolutely extraordinary. We have only handful of players who have managed to get top20 in their rookie year, all of which have played in easier circumstances and less pressure than monesy will have to play this year. (role, language, expectations, living away from home). It is of course possible if all stars align, but saying that he will be top10 this year already is putting some extra unreasonable pressure towards him. He definently has the potential to make top10 or even top5 in future years, but it will not be this year.

Damn monesy has a lot of hype. s1mple at monesy's age rn was carrying hr against top teams. I really think monesy can do it as well. He has insane mechanics, but let's see how his composure and confidence fare. Intangibles are really hard to measure, and I suspect it's a reason why some talents fizzle out in t1.

Why are you implying he WILL BE ONE OR ANOTHER!? I'm pretty sure he will not be near as good as s1mple, but he will be way more successful than oBo, I don't like how you make it look like he only can travel to paths. He has everything it takes to be a solid top 20 player for the next 8-10 years. But I don't see him being on the level of greatness of s1mple, ZywOo, NiKo, device, etc.
