we need another solution, maybe metal straws? that u keep at home? But washing them would be kinda difficult.

Juice in small box also not needed. Have a quality water bottle and fill it with water/juice.
You can also have cartons with a cap on, that can open and close. No need for a straw, but need for system of recycling the cartons for their plastic. See picture: nyheder.tv2.dk/business/2020-11-04-slut-..
Note: Right now there is no perfect solution for recycling these cartons

yeah lmao I always laugh at this whenever I buy a capri sun or something - why tf would they make us use paper straws when they wrap them in plastic?
plastic straws are not the main problem, it's just been hyper mediatized and there were those vidos of turtles with plastic straws in their nose so I guess that's kinda why they've been so targetted (not sure tho, there's probably more reasons but I cba to check rn)

The juice box is 80 cents, and the straw comes with it attached to the box.
