Classic REZ, fails to step up in important matches
 |
United States caliprep
This man probably has the least amount of pressure or stress compared to any other pro competing right now. The man never shows up in important matches, but will get your a 1.79 ADR in some low scale tournament. Hes a big fish in a small pond, always been and always have. When youre playing along side with Hampus, Plopski, etc, basically low achievers, you can do no wrong in the eyes of NIP. NIP needs to trade this guy off, and end his undeserved free ride.

lol you clearly didnt watch the games if you think his igling wasnt shit. literally a 10-5 t-side half for nip was good considering half of them were 13-2 12-3 and 11-4 halfs

Hampus is one of the best CT side callers, and he was the only player that was good on the T side before brollan came When you're the IGL and nobody else has impact on T side what the fuck are you supposed to do

Again im talking about 2021 not 2022 And no even when the team was playing good he still managed to do really shit calling. just look at nip vs cph at the legends stage major match, he was up 15-11 in ancient t-side, goes to b 4 times in a row and loses all of them, proceeds to go A in the first round of overtime and he wins that round. this is one of the many examples where he just goes 1 place for like 9 times in a row and he loses all of them, another one is gambit at the major again at dust 2 where he proceeds to go b/mid b almost all of the times and he loses all of them, but the 1 time he goes catwalk he wins it. NiP was ranked like 18/19th team for T Side when they were like top 2-5 in the world, the only reason they won is because their team was good enough to do crazy comebacks on the ct side, but they couldnt rely on that all of the time and thats why almost every map they won always started on CT Side. nip was probably one of if not the t1 team that had most 2nd half comebacks in 2021

hampus would be even better if he was not igling. hampus, brollan and plopski can be a scary core tbh, if you add reliable awper and igl to this trio it's the strongest nip we saw in years. the obvious problem is t1 igls and awpers are so hard to find these days.
2022-04-25 17:59

Yes, I think the main problem as to why Plopski hasn't been doing great is because they have had so many roster changes, and when you're a young talent it's really hard to adapt.

he plays bitch roles most of the time, I recall games where he would go first, eat a flash and die untraded for 15 t-side rounds in row. hard to get good stats like that.

Yea man, he was cracked in 2021
2022-05-22 09:56
hampus is clutch and shows up when it matters. his stats are middle-pack on NiP but his impact in big moments is unrivaled on the team

He does fall off quite a bit in those important matches, I agree, but then again, most of his team is also playing bad in those games so it's to be expected. Hard to play well when nobody else is performing well either. Hopefully things will get better once device comes back and Brollan gets properly integrated into the team.

I just find it funny that people always seem to believe in these "if" & "when" roster changes. Don't get me wrong, even I had extremely high hopes of new Vitality, G2, new Astralis, new NIP (with device), but literally none of those teams managed to win anything (except nip winning one, but that was a different team). Wonder why people still keep believing. Probably because some changes do work- Faze for example
2022-04-23 05:51

Vitality can win in my opinion. Dupreeh is still great, ZywOo is getting the hold of it, Magisk is solid and Apex has good T side strats... They are a tournament winning team but misutaa fucks up a lot. New Astralis are getting stronger day by day, Taking a map off Players is an achievement, but their T Side is ridiculously shit.
2022-04-23 06:16
2 replies
I would love to see this vitality winning something. But just doesn't feel complete yet for some reason. Nah, if taking a map off players is an achievement then I don't think Astralis are going anywhere
2022-04-23 06:19
1 reply
Astralis are still top 10 and Players are top 3 team that has potential to beat NAVI and FAZE. The team went through major changes, lost Dev1ce Magisk and Dupreeh. Xyp fell off and the new team is passiveF, inconsistent k0nfig and a shit awper. So yeah it's gonna take some time but believe in gla1ve. This team is going places. And yeah, taking a map off Players is an achievement right now considering all the players of Players are top 10 material except Nafany and Interz because of their roles.
2022-04-23 06:23

that rating might be just a bit boosted from one game
2022-04-23 05:57
He's supposed to be that star player who, when the whole team is down, takes responsibility and tries to save the match. Not a player who hides behind a "Had a bad game when everyone on the team was bad"

TBH NIP doesn't have a reliable star. They brought in Plopski as a star as well, REZ is supposed to be a star as well, dev1ce was supposed to be a star as well and we all know how that went down. Now the newest star is Brollan who is doing decent so far.

I was going to say, that are games against tier 2 teams, they shouldn't have that much weight, but as I like Brollan, I won't downplay the feat. But going back to what I'm saying, it's too early to say that he's doing decent, 2 BO1 and 1 BO3

8/8 100% true, the most overhyped player in t1. It's actually annoying how well he frags when the pressure is low, it's obvious he has great mechanics but weak mentality. imo the biggest problem nip has (after device situation) considering how much space he takes - rez is the best move nip can do, you can't rely on this type of player if you ever want to win a real trophy

Have you been watching Nip games at all the last 4 months? REZ is literally at his best form probably ever, I don't think he has ever been this consistent, Removing REZ would be the worst thing Nip could do right now, he is the consistency on the team rn , his worse match was probably agaisnt ChFlames and the whole team choked on Vertigo and Overpass T-side, Not doing well agaisnt good/big teams?? Did you see his game vs Ence ?? He fragged on the maps they lost and even more on the maps they won !! Obviously with Brollan coming in now, not all 4 (Brollan, REZ, Plopski and Hampus) of them are gonna be dropping 30 bombs every game, and not all of them are gonna be popping off at the same game, it's not how it works!

Exactly, he looks lost in the sauce and struggles bad. Just wait until he gets older and his vision starts becoming poorer and reflexes slower. By then NIP would trade him off or bench him.
2022-05-22 09:17
Well they finished top 8 in the major so that seems like a decent achievement. And they put up a good fight on the first two maps against a team that made it to the grand final. So it looks like they're doing OK. Sure, they don't have players like Faze do, but something is clearly working for them
