Everyone likes to shit on him and call him finished since Astralis has been bad since the last year but, *The guy's team lost 3 of their best players and their coach. *Changed the awper position with a rookie and a relatively inexperienced player. *Changed their coach twice. *2 pro players whom he never played with were added to the team, one of them being an ex-igl. *And finally he became a father last September, people with kids know their struggles with their firstborns. Team dynamics changed a lot for the 4-time Major champ team. Their instaban map picks are becoming their main picks. Considering all these changes, I think he did pretty damn great and with each tournament, Astralis is getting better results. The guy is still one of the best IGL, if not the best imo.

I mean, what can he do with the pieces which he has now. He could achieve greatness with AWPer of device calibre, entry fragger like dupreeh, 2nd entry and lurker Magisk and Xyp in his prime who could always bring some additional rounds with his clutches. How can we compare THAT team to Astralis atm?

blameF baits on T side, Farlig is not world class AWPer like device (we just cant compare) and Xyp is washed, it will be hard for them. Not impossible, but imo they still lack much and firepower is the first thing

The biggest thing is even if people consider him falling off he still doesn't have anything to prove anymore, grand slam + 21 tournaments (4 majors included) as an IGL is beyond anything the player could ever imagine

Many IGL's have done better with significantly worse players btw Apparently gla1ve just needs to have the best coach and multiple top 10 players to succeed

Well karrigan had NiKo, former best awper, former best player and prime rain but still couldn't do shit. Astralis players werent on top20 hltc becaus eof their individual skills, they were because everything for them got easier thanks to their team synergy

funny that you mention karrigan gla1ve inherited the astralis roster from karrigan and that FaZe roster you mentioned was #1 at one point. They famously choked the major finale. after that karrigan went to mouseports and brought a team of nonamers to #2, made woxic a top 20 player, made ropz a star and now karrigan is back in faze and #1 with borderline top 20 players, note: borderline not a team stacked with top10 players and the best coach gla1ve has blameF and k0nfig, he should do better, only excuses for him and sad apologists who think we are in 2019

A team with 3 top 20 players, a former top4 and one of the best IGLs ever is doing good, who'd have guessed. One of those players is one of the best riflers atm and the other is a headshot machine with increadible hs%. wow yes karrigan made ropz a star, no doubt about that but let's not act like ropz was nobody before karrigan. He was already a top20 player in 2018.

definitely the goat IGL idc what people say. you can still see his style of calling during hte mid rounds and he will have some amazing rounds, once the team gels together better i think people will start respecting him again.
