Can you read? He didnt say he is the GOAT but up to last year he was a contender for the title. Time will tell, if he turns up again he might still be the GOAT but it looks quite locked for s1mple at the moment.

2020 - HLTV #1
2021 - HLTV #2
Sorry, but going 1, 1, 2 in the most competitive era of CSGO does put him into the discussion to be a potential GOAT. He is not GOAT now, or in one year but given his incredible first two years especially, he has definitely put himself into the debate. As I said before, if we had to say GOAT of CSGO at the moment, it would be s1mple. No one else is even close.
However, if we think about players that could potentially rival s1mple in the future if e.g. he drops off (hard to imagine) or someone else starts dominating (possible and inevitable at some point), the one name that has the highest likelihood of doing so and eclipsing s1mple is ZywOo.
Not in the current form, of course, but he has already played up to s1mple's level or better for two years and one year he managed to be still a clear 2nd best in the world. All in all, it is a factual statement to say that ZywOo is "in the debate", but it is not factual to claim there are arguments to claim he is GOAT right now.

now? it's been a problem since the beginning and it seems they can't fix it. it is what it is. even when both dupreeh and magisk plays so good they lose/barely win maps. they've lost too many 3v2 & 4v2 just because the info doesn't get through correctly/fast enough. Anyone who watches their matches can see it.

Yeah-- in different statistics and ZywOo had better statistics than s1mple in other different statistics - it was deemed overall to be neck and neck -- the closest ever number 1 placing spot in the history of HLTV.
The difference is you can't accept that for whatever reason ZywOo to be better than s1mple in certain ways for even a single year... Some group stages still hand out MVP's, as s1mple also deserved back in 2018; The Heroic tournament, ZywOo still had the best statistics to my understanding and despite ultimately losing, ZywOo still performed admirably.

Na'vi had a seasoned IGL Zeus (even tho he played like a bot, he was a seasoned IGL with loads of experience), electronic was popping off, Edward was still playing decent, and flamie was just flamie
