Guy looks like a totally different player this year, not just aim wise but making very bad decisions every game costing his team rounds where he used to be absolutely perfect. The guy is nowhere near being a top10 player this year, can't even consider it at this point, this might have been his best event yet but compared to last year it's mediocre still... What needs to change for ZywOo to get back to form?

This probably matters in grand scheme of things, but it should not be an excuse for these kind of drastic performance variations. We have multiple international teams that have players with various nationalities among their players, FaZe etc. Also ZywOo has decent/good english skills, so its not like the stereotypical french player in an english speaking team kind of situation

People understimate the fact that speaking in another language isn't an easy task. Cs, specially at the highest level, is a game where you have seconds to receive info, make a call and react. This applies not only to zywoo, because dupreeh and magisk played most of their carreers speaking only in danish.
It's a team game. He doesn't feel good in this lineup. Skills are still there, just hidden atm

But even this inferno game, he made a lot of bad peeks and weird decisions that were definitely on him, not because of bad teamplay, he was playing "bad" cs, compared to his ability of course he has a different standard to most pros, it's weird to watch, because in the past 3 years you can randomly pick any stretch of 10 maps and you would see him maybe do that in 5 rounds, now he does it over 5 rounds a map more often than not. I get that the new system must be hard to fit in but it shouldn't be that impactful for a guy that good.

playing "bad cs" even alone can still be a symptom of not feeling good in the team, your head is not in the game as it was with previous lineup, extra peeks and trying too hard is a classic. Maybe he wouldn't make those bad plays if he would feel calm and good.

It wasn't like this in 2021 though. He was in his 1.24-1.25 state, now he is in 1.15.

nah this is not like first half of last year, he was not on same level as s1mple first half of 2021 but still EASILY top5, now he is not even close to top10, not even close, he is closing out the top20 in terms of individuals for the first half of this year

When apex is ypur best rifler in a tournament sth has gone wrong, you want the danes to be star riflers. Dupreeh just had back to back offgames, that hurt vitality a lot. Also heroic is a great well rounded team that capitalises on weaknesses.

for sure he will be back, but s1mple 2017 was actually just as good as 2016 NaVi were just as dogshit as it can possibly get, also kinda weird having a coming of age year when you are already the best in the world by miles and miles for 3 years straight (excluding s1mple ofc but compared to all other pros)

1.21 overall (1.01 vs top5, 1.08 vs top10), but 1.13 on so-called elite events (idk if IEM China and IEM Dallas are elite but it doesn't matter now)

It's the uncomfortable feeling. For his whole life he spoke french unless in some faceit and FPL games. He knows basic English but to play in an international team you need very good English understanding. I also think that every international team needs at least one native English speaker, I think Twistzz is crucial for FaZe because of it. Now back to my main point, it's almost like when you're playing at home and something feels off, your setup doesn't feel right, your sens feels off, all of us get that feeling once in a while. It's like that for him all the time. And especially now when he's played whatever he wants to do all his career but now he has to play like dev1ce which just doesn't suit him.
How can HLTV community be so delusional, calling the top 3 players in the world bad?
Like cmon, it´s pretty common to have periods in your life when you are stressed or something outside cs that might reflect on your game performance. If someone performs bad for 1 event
you´ll see comments like:
"Zywoo is washed/baiting" "S1mple lost 1 map this year, omg so bad" "Niko can´t hit deagle shots blabla".
Like wtf, why all this hate towards players that are at least 10x better than your average HLTV user.
