Both Failed to lead their team to major with OG. Aim: nexa > aleksib movement: nexa < aleksib IGL: nexa >= aleksib Aleksi should try more aggressive style which is more suitable for m0nesy and NiKo

I don't think this major is considered more competitve just because 'favoured' teams lost, I just think the players on those teams have fallen off.

Stockholm was the worst major in terms of high-level cs.

you are talking about the competitiveness of the major. Faceit major 2018 had a really weak field.

No, there were lots of good teams. Na'Vi, Liquid, BIG, NiP, etc. It's just Astralis who were above everyone else.

0/8. big were barely a top 10 team, and got even worse after the major. col made top 8, not even a top 20 team, and did absolutely nothing after, even changing their roster soon after. There were only 5-6 good teams for the second half of 2018.

? This major's lvl outside of NaVi is dogshit, even NaVi is playing 5 times worse than in Stockholm. Imperial almost made it to playoffs, tells you everything you need to know

I'm not saying it wasn't - just saying teams like C9 / Vit / G2 aren't losing because it's more competitve than Stockholm, but rather because they are playing worse.

Looks to me like he has a hard time with confidence more than anything. When he focuses up in must kill situations his aim is fine, but a lot of the time it seems like he is not focusing on the duel properly or is afraid to commit to it. Could be because he is thinking more about what others are doing and what they should do to win the round instead of focusing in his own gameplay.

+1. as a g2 fan i think either he needs to get confidence or we need a new igl. i think aleksi is good for players like hunter and monesy, but i think aleksi's heavy micromanagment style is really fucking with niko.

They've played good. Astralis failed to qualify to legends stage. Vitality, G2, C9 failed to qualify to champions stage.

Vitality is a broken roster, G2 choked hard in multiple games and c9 completely shit the bed against imperial

Vitality needs to work on their communication a little and they're good. G2 Chokes always. C9 agree but they still should've won that match
2022-05-18 16:58
That was more Furia/Spirit/CPH merit than Astralis/C9/Vitality/G2 demerit. Especially Spirit, they had a great run

Until today I didn't understand the - nexa move. The only explanation for me is that I had some disagreement outside the game with some other player. He was a good/decent IGL, had average aim and had great cltuch decisions

I think it was more about nexa's thoughts

he himself decided to leave.
2022-05-18 16:58
Aleksi can't aim so loses 90% of duels which cost G2 a lot of rounds. If he is anchoring, (Because Niko went aggro and died) he only needs 1 kill to make retakes possible and he always fails.
2022-05-18 16:53

Not always. I have seen many times him having big impact in retakes. Its more about opening duels.

Aim: Nexa>Aleksib IGL: Aleksib>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Nexa Go watch their past matches that's all I have to say. I feel like the reason they went major finals last year wasn't because of nexa's igling, but niko's incredible overperforming.

Well, can be true. But it obviously takes time for players to adapt to completely different style. And I think Aleksib overthinks too much. He saves strats and thinks teams will instantly figure them out like they couldn't work anymore. You could see how much different strats they had against navi and they looked great even tho they lost.
2022-05-18 17:07
nexa just utilized him well
2022-05-18 17:55
Maybe G2 players pool are just only good as a Tier 2 team :) potentially Tier 1 in the future years??
2022-05-18 17:01
interesting

More aggressive style? They literally overpeek every round, and only win rounds when someone gets a multikill.

Nexa is such a better player than Aleksi and he even sacrificed his own game in order for Niko to be the top 2 in the world. That alone made G2 top 3 team and Nexa didn't have M0nesy but Amanek was compensating.
