Why NA is carried by ex-Valulrant players
 |
United States post_poster
Why are nitr0 / floppy / autimatic performing so well relative to their cs-only peers? The level of competition in NA Val is higher than in NA CS. Let me explain. We all know Valarante is child game. These players are probably playing with their eyes closed. But what's not easy for them is the amount of learning and grinding they have to do. Their competition, these young prospects, are working super hard on improving, and these old CA players have to match them to be able to stay on their team / compete. Meanwhile, CS players are busy streaming Val and aren't working nearly as hard. Why would you, when your region is dead and you're guaranteed a job with another org which just wants to recycle old talent? These Val players brought back their work ethic to CSGO. That's why they are performing better than their CS compatriots.

Elige needs to go play Valulrant for some months and come back to CS again to be able to post decent ratings once more

because valorant is fake cs

I agree valorant has a very high skill ceiling for aim specifically. everyone is forced to have great crosshair placement and aim. plus they're competing with younger players and their zoomer reflexes and aim, so they have to stay sharp. due to how slow the acceleration is compared to csgo, it's hard to get away with just peeking and spraying things down. So it's possible that all the former valo players have better aim because they had to care about it more

Ex VALO players may have better aim than CS players because in Valorant, you gotta go for the head or you get rekt, while in CS, as compared to Valorant you can get away with failed sprays a lot.

It’s easier to Aim and hit shots in Valorant unless Jett is dashing around. Playing Valorant made my aim worse in CS and just worse in general.

My one taps in CS improved after Val but my spray got dogshit after playing Val for a month. It's easier to aim in Valorant because character models walk like dummies, they are literally slow af and are bouncing which makes the OP in valorant overpowered. It's muuuuuch easier in Valorant to hit one taps and my personal experience tells me that Valorant makes hitting taps in CS easier.

spraying in valorant is cancer because people move like robots
2022-05-25 02:49
Jett can't dash around that easily anymore. It got nerfed!
2022-05-21 06:41
thats false, aiming on Valorant is way way easier than on CSGO, every pro player who has played both CSGO and Valorant competitively will tell you that

Maybe that's because csgo is outdated trash game where bullets ain't registering and where nothing really works like it should? Hmmmm, no way, in Valo you just aim easier because there is an aimbot in the game already fr fr fr fr

just because it's an unpopular opinion doesn't make it not true..! in CSGO you can get away with all sorts of things. jiggle peeking, spraying, crouch spraying then you can move out of the way..! in valorant if you don't hit an immediate headshot you've lost the duel..! I will say CSGO is more about mastery, because the maps have been around for so long. And there's not many kinds of utility. So it's better to watch. But the raw aim mechanics aren't nearly as sophisticated as Valorant. CSGO stands to learn a thing or too honestly

"in valorant if you don't hit an immediate headshot you've lost the duel..!" you also lost the duel because enemy is on the otherside of the map using ultimate ability. you also lost the duel because you're in enemy's posion smoke and took 1hp damage to feet despite being 100hp normally. 1. stuff is unpopular for a reason. 2. aim is less important in valorant, game sense is less important in valorant... so on.. spawn timings are less imporant in valorant... because game is designed with this in mind.

unpopular? valorant is actually fairly popular. I think a lot of CSGO fans just really hate the game because they feel it's cool to hate on valorant valorant, with more moving parts, can be quite sophisticated. you have to know how everything interacts. there's more potential for creativity, innovation.. valve can really learn a thing or two..!

#34 "just because unpopular != not true" #35 "unpopular = some basis" #36 "unpopular? valorant is actually fairly popular." 1. who's talking about valorant? 2. you're speaking for valorant haters while you sound like you're not one of them. 3. if you assumed I hate valo, I dont. 4. "can be quite sophisticated" yes, well beyond what humans can take into account making it random. think of it this way... how dominant the most dominant team can be? how often do the favourites win? compared to csgo. 4. rest of the paragraph is basically redundant.

okay, that is a lot of words. honestly, I can't really follow where you're going with this. but listen, all I'm saying is valorant has better aim merchanics and i wont' be convinced otherwise! I am not here to argue, I am just saying you know

idk if this is bait, but i'll assume im helping a lost soul just as mr13 is more random compared to mr15 compared to mr18... (within the same game) if you make it mr200. it becomes a different game to the point it's random compared to original mr13 results. Valorant gameplay is the mr200 compared to CSGO. in other words, better hacks/AI performs better in valorant compared to same level diff between hacks/AI in csgo. but that shit is way too far beyond humans, that the abilities take over aim.

draken (for those who dont know he switched to valorant and recently came back to cs) did an interview after he returned to cs where he said: "I think that if I would have stayed in CS I wouldn't be the same person I am today, I would maybe be on the same ego trip that I was on, so yeah, I think it was a very good move for me to get the passion back that I had for CS. I remember when I quit VALORANT and came back to CS, I played more PUGs on FACEIT than in the past four years. So my drive to succeed in CS is really back, I would say." I don't think its as much "bringing back work ethic to csgo," I think its just that they've realized they love CS more and they all found new motivation to succeed in their favorite game.

well nitro, auti and floppy were good before they switched to valorant, so what youre saying doesnt make sense calling them "val players" if you start in valorant then go to csgo, then id say youre making sense

Are you for real? Which of their CS compatriots you are talking about??? This thread is on a level of delusions of vlr.gg threads. There are no bad players, everybody is best. Performing well into bottom fragging. Check their results and rating.

Because these guys realised that NA valorant was a joke filled with players who arent committed to competing and winning and care more about making money and streaming. It reminded them how much more they love cs and they moved back more motivated than they were before they left

honestly, this is a good take. i dont think val takes more skill than cs but the na scene is definitely way more competitive than the na scene is cs rn
2022-05-22 16:25
People biting on this bait in #3, hltv is really lacking braincells today Probably true about competition, there is 0 motivated players in NA. Summit said he will try to get to FPL through grinding (lol) but there seems to be zero players in queue for him.
2022-05-22 16:28
I heard that NA Val top teams prac/scrim for 10h+ per day so yeah, I think work ethic in Valorant is very high. Can't say which game harder to compete or to stay on top cause in Val, meta , new agents make game change each 3 or 4 months. While in CS, the game hardly change , players can comeback and still perform
