Some investors in liquid own major na sports organizations such as the Golden state warriors, Tampa Bay lightning, Washington capitals. Selling merchandise doesn't get you deeper pockets than billionaires throwing money at your org.

If a part of the investment group has a lot of money that doesn't mean Liquid as an entity have the same amount of money. As an example The owners of Newcastle United are Arab royalty and have a fortune of around 250 billions, that doesn't mean Newcastle united as an ENTITY have that money at their disposal. As you can see liquid are just recycling players in every single e-sport you can watch. What they can afford and what they are willing to invest are 2 separate things. The trust fund may be stacked, but the org itself not so much. More often than not sports businesses (teams) tend to function with self produced money and rarely get cash infusions from the outside.

The last sentence doesn't really work for the U.S. Maybe in your country it does. Just to show you an example. The Minnesota Vikings built a new stadium for 1 bil or 1.1 bil, 600mil came from taxpayers. Look at the Atlanta Falcons as another example. I think their stadium cost something like 1.3 bil 700 mil of which was funded by taxpayers. Just in the Nfl alone taxpayers probably paid half the bill for every stadium built.........Over 10 billion(just a guess) of taxpayers money has been spent on stadiums alone in the last probably 20 years...... taxpayers subsidize these stadiums brother. I get your point of g2 actually being a better org in terms of wins and placements and maybe more fans. It doesn't hurt too have some of the richest people in the U.S investing in your org though. No more back and forth from me though. Have a nice rest of the weekend brother!!!!

forbes.com/sites/christinasettimi/2020/1.. forbes.com/sites/brettknight/2022/05/06/.. The first post is when liquid was just under twice as valuable as G2. The newer data shows that liquid is worth $100 million dollars more as of 2022. Bottom line, Liquid can offer more money than G2 but the real question is will they?

He isnt, but he isnt a solution either. RN NiKo underperforming is the issue as they have no super consistent star (m0NESY is still a rookie and HuNter is more of a secondary star just like Tistzz/ropz in FaZe), and Yekindar does the job

I'd like him on Vitality, -apex is inevitable imo if his malding mental meltdown keeps throwing entire matches. Like, I'd be genuinely surprised if apex does not get checked by betting companies in his last match, he genuinely threw the match by yoloing in ways that you'd get rekt even in GN matchmaker. I am more of a G2 fan than Vitality, I just think jackz is doing his job well. He is a sidekick to hunter and monesy in certain setups and he provides. Only issue I see with G2 is Aleksib doing entry instead of Niko, I don't get why is that happening and why is he playing important positions like inferno banana while Niko sits back. Whoever thought of that should reconsider things in life, Aleksi should enable Niko, not take important places away from him while Niko literally is the best entry that ever lived. (note that this also may be Niko hating on doing banana, but he's so damn good at it that he should know that he needs to fucking do it to win, cause who the fuck can you imagine keeping up with Niko) Hunter and monesy I feel like enabled enough, monesy needs to find his groove a bit more and mature a bit but I feel like from team perspective he's getting what he needs to get to grow. I just feel like Niko isn't getting that treatment and ofc team will struggle when you got your best player doing nothing while their worst player (mechanically aleksi is worst, he's a sexy nerd tho) playing those agro positions that Niko made his name doing them. Just makes no fucking sense one bit.

Im not saying they need change (right know!) but if anything then he's the first one to go. Zywoo / magisk and dupreeh are safe and they wont find a better or good enough IGL to replace apex hence it's only misutaa left which even tho he has good games he's simlpy too inconsistent
2022-05-22 01:04
apex is good for the brand and I do agree with that part. But so many things are bad. 1) throwing, literal throwing that's border lining on being illegal. Vitality played 4v5 2) he's taking so much space - he is hands down the worst player on that squad - why does he take connector mirage, position where any competent team puts their skilled player? Apex bites for any jiggle and commits 1000% and gets rekt, like, if I was preparing against Vitality I'd just bait him 80% of the rounds and likely win most cause of that 3) he's terrible to work with, even shox said how hard it is to maintain positive mindset (his HLTV confirmed interview). Dupreeh is emotional and it will drag him down af (if he did already). Between apex and dupreeh I pick dupreeh. 4) magisk is already calling for the most part, watch their comm vids. So what's the purpose of apex? He will not become better, all other players are gods (yes, I count misuta as really good as he has very high understanding of what it takes to win and he's completely selfless at it). Should Vitality sit and pray that apex will become mentally stable?
2022-05-22 01:04
4 replies
i'm completely ok with ur opinion, i'm a big vitality fan and we all know that the problem is apex and NOT misuta like hltv wants to say but Apex already won major in the past, nobody has his experience, he just needs to get more focus, on some game during this major, he was clearly the BEST. We have to let this team mature. It's a new system, Neo, the founder of Vitality had said: "This team will take time to win, but when they win, they will be unstoppable"
2022-05-22 01:09

apex was up to the task, but so were Ancient Egyptians when they've built pyramids. I do understand team needs time to make it work, I am just calling like I see it, danish duo is working hard and in comm videos you hear just how much they are working, zywoo is finding his groove with the language and misuta is solid af - ESPECIALLY when you take his role into account (bitch role of sorts). Apex is taking space and running out 24/7 like a headless fly. Also listening to their comm videos - he dies and them just keeps talking over everybody, repeating what they say and making it harder to work. I get this will need time regardless of him staying there or not, I just don't see it happening.

in their videos magisk and dupreeh are doing most of the calling. apex is the weakest link and has the lowest chance of all of ever improving, add mental instability to it.... I think it makes sense but agree to disagree, I mean, I'd be happy to be prooven wrong, but apex is throwing games as is. He's not just playing bad, that was throwing. Then he keeps talking while being dead, repeating what others say - that's how you make your team lose.

Are you sure you know what entry means..? I dont think NiKo ever was an entry and he definitely should not be one.
2022-05-22 02:12
6 replies
Are you sure you know what entry means? Cause what I think you are pointing at is dry entry on execute, but Niko is not that, Niko is calculated and can make shitton of space. He can do dry entry as well, just in G2 jackz usually went for it. If you missed second half of 2021 and Niko's performance there I suggest you watch it and tell if that was not a fucking entry - man ran around the map looking for opening duels and won all of them. Huge part of the reason why his rating was so insane was the entry - he died like 2 times more than anyone else similar rating. He played very volatile positions and did them with consistency. He did an entry role and did it better than anyone else did ever over an unthinkable period of time. There is a difference between sending jackz to entry when you are out of flashes and smokes and what Niko does to entry. What you mean by "entry" is someone who swings wide so other guy can trade him. That's not really an entry, that's more like being the most expendable one. What I mean by entry is someone who is really successful at opening up rounds and making space for his team. I suggest you look at any pov demo's from Niko in the end of 2021 and tell me that's not an entry.
2022-05-22 12:28

I remember this shit when he first joins G2 and during a Blast event. Dude's a monster and single handedly brings back the map on Inferno against Navi or what if i remember correctly. Maybe a honeymoon period or motivated shit but still impressive.
2022-05-22 12:54
What you're describing is nowadays considered as the "star role" or in other words "do whatever you want and we'll back you up role". Entry fragger is still more of the guy that goes in first on set pieces, which Niko is not doing and should not do.
2022-05-22 16:14
3 replies
fact that Niko was a star does not mean he was not entry as he was the only one actively looking to open up rounds. He was star in that role cause he was so successful at it. Star role is more of a guy sitting in mid or in high contention areas trying to fight, playing 1000x more conservative than Niko did in his record breaking period. We are discussing semantics here cause when I say "entry" you only see a guy who charges first on an execute and for you that's that - a very limited view on what entry means as a word. Entry is whoever works towards opening rounds - if we were to follow your logic, jackz rushing in first after Niko got 2 opening kills still makes jackz an entry, even tho it's Niko who got 2 entry kills to his name and a significant boost to rating. I find that to be a very limited view to take on how roles are distributed. Statistically entry is 1-st duel in each round that results in a kill, executes come at 30 second mark or so - so it's impossible to limit "entry fragger" to those who yolo first in an execute as minute and a half has passed in the round and things have happened that impacted the round. Niko's best performance of his carrier, and the best hardcarry performance ever from any player happened when Niko was an entry, aka the guy opening rounds and actively seeking to kill or die trying. He carried G2 over 37 maps with positive rating, next one being s1mple with 31 maps, and best rifler being at like 11. It's historic performance in CSGO to have someone who plays such volatile role to do it with such inhuman level ofconsistency. Most of his rating during that period was entry and multikill, cause he died A LOT and if he was not a madlad entry he would not be anywhere near the rating that he had. Idea that Niko should not do that seems rather like an unreasonable proposal, great deal of ignorance must be included.
2022-05-22 17:28
2 replies
Historically what an entry fragger is, is the guy that goes in first on executes, and thats how I see the term still used. According to opening kill statistics, s1mple is the entry fragger in Navi. Is he? Hell nah, he's the go do whatever you want guy. And after execute win us the round guy.

So my problem with Aleksi not playing much worse is this: right now he’s struggling as a rotator. So he always had some type of support/is supporting the anchor. Moving aleksi to anchor will isolate him soooo much and if his form doesn’t improve he is gonna get picked on A LOT when G2 is on CT.

Even if this move happend,Aleksib need to step up individually,at least to put some number close to 1.00 rating(like Boombl4,Snappi,hampus) you can't be contender for top 1 team if one of your players is below 0.9 rating.

aleksi needs to let Niko to do entry stuff, end of 2021 Niko was entry 24/7 and he was the best that ever did it, he made space, he killed everything and everyone who dared to peek him. I do agree that aleksi could step up his aimbotz hours, but he could also just play a role where his nerdyness is useful and support Niko's space creating. I cannot understand what kind of madness created this that Niko who has set world records at the end of 2021 had to give that space to aleksi, that's..... that's.... I don't even have a word for it.

NiKo is still doing what he did before. He is just not required to hard carry rn. His slump is normal, he is a riffler after all and ith all the heaavy lifting he as doing his back must be hurting aha.

Inferno banana? Niko is still doing it? Why do I see him sitting in site throwing flashes for aleksi? I do understand Niko would drop off cause after that performance everyone would watch his demos, but Niko is NOT doing the same thing - aleksi is doing a lot of space making for some reason and not being really good at it.

Mostly aleksi thros flashes. If NiKo throws the flash its a suicidal push from aleksi, and he obviously rather ie than letting NiKo die, for obvious reasons. Aleksi only makes space in situations where Jackz would with Nexa, essentially when the odds of survival arent high He is doing mostly similar stuff. hat changes is that he no has an awper and a system arround him and the team, so he doesnt have to 2v5 every round with HuNter.

"suicide rush" is a suicide rush when aleksi does it - when niko pushes banana he likely takes it.

They push banana in different situations. When someone needs to be baited for info or to be traded more often than not it is aleksi (or jackz sometimes even, though he isnt doing it now aa lot). WHen someone is taking the space itself and not going for a heavy exec or into a stack its NiKo. Context matters. Also doing what NiKo did before consistently is impossible and predictable, so with m0NESY and an IGL who actually IGLs, he is reducing the ammount of times he dry peeks

dunno, I see Niko is way less proactive right now and I do not think it's a proper way to use him. His stats are showing it, G2 win ratio is showing it. I'd be happy to be proven wrong as Niko did struggle with their previous changes and did play worse for a while.

What makes you think YEKINDAR would go to a team that bombed out Major at legends stage? He deserves better

Well theres kinda obvious reason why yekindar could struggle lately.

Yes and people said the exact same thing in the beginning of the year. +monesy +aleksi omg top 1!!!! And see what happened. I think they have some bigger issues, which won't be solved by adding yet another insane player to the mix.

Nah, aleksib's system still just needs more time and more experience as a team together, it's just that Yekindar would be a yet another firepower upgrade that would actually make sense rolewise assuming aleksib would then take all the bitch roles and set Yekindar up for entries. I truly believe Yekindar would make this team unstoppable but I guess I won't see it in the end, too good to be true

Liquid thinks yekindar will join them xddd

Not gonna happen, but at least Liquid is trying something
2022-05-22 04:50
impossible since jackz is great mood guy and plays shitty roles, you can't have 4 stars, not enough space for all

JackZ is too good to be kicked off their roster
2022-05-22 02:01
but its nikos fault, jackz is a problem yes, but niko is aswell but this could be insane, like ence has dycha and maden (both entries) g2 can have niko and yekindar both map control entries

He’s generally pretty solid at leaks for rosters. He specializes in CIS but leaks all kinds of roster moves

g2 yekindar will be great
2022-05-22 02:51
OG soon
2022-05-22 03:30
Hopefully he goes to G2 and not being wasted in Liquid
2022-05-22 06:19
how much money does G2 have to spend on players? this is not a sarcastic question, and i know g2 as an org doesnt have unlimited funds like some NA big orgs do. so how do they managed to get all that cash for all these star players?

Tbf he's not going to ay for VP either way he's probably going for cheap. Also CarlosR has stated that even with m0NESY/Aleksib/NiKo buyouts they are still profiting

2022-05-22 13:07
Isn't yekindars contract ending so theres no buyout? Even if not, the buyout certainly isnt high since OG are interested aswell.

I think g2 will get yekindar, if yekindar was joining liquid he prob wouldn’t be at the major anymore and instead practicing with liquid
