Yes they can kind of. They do the same test every single year at the international with those soundproof booths, they can hear the crowd and commentators every single year. They probably can't hear it that clearly.
They hear that the crowd gets loud so they can guess (maybe made hit mark, or rush coming behind smoke)

They have helicopter headsets on so they isolate pretty well. I dont remember who said this but they can feel the vibrations and hear very little. I think it was dupreeh who said it but im not sure
