I'm a fan of storylines. Navi winning Stockholm without dropping map and online teams getting to show their skill at first major were much better storylines than anything Antwerp had to offer.

I'll give you that, it was the most and first non-favourite Major final, that was pretty exciting for many people except for the fans, I guess. ^^

Storylines behind Navi were much more interesting in Stockholm. How could online teams manage at the biggest stage.
Navi winning then was as predictable as seeing Navi and Faze at finals in this major.

I agree that Faze storyline is quite good, especially with rain. My point is more so that storylines of other teams than Faze are worse in Antwerp than those of other teams than Navi in Stockholm. Major is more than just of one team. The onliner teams coming to a major and first major since two years.
Of course Brasilians would at least disagree with me with their imperial goggles.

maybe nuke was a bit boring but this inferno was just insane, especially in this meta. so many good t-side rounds by teams, tons of quality cs
inferno was good but navi was clearly making mistakes that they shouldnt be making, as for example inf last round before ot, there was like 15sec in the clock left. Navi have already 2 on b and they dont see/hear anything anymore, so why is b1t running knife out in to long.
I know inhumane error but it cost them the map in the end

I watched majors on and off since 2015 and I watched them in detail since Boston, I also watched EMS One Katowice on a random TV channel in a hotel room but I don't remember many of the details
all I can say is that boston felt like the best event in history of esports in terms of coverage, hype, production, stage and storylines, while this was pretty close
I hate nostalgia freaks that associate their childhood with good majors
although shoutout to ELEAGUE, their majors felt really nice

I mean in terms of quality of competition. And I disagree and agree at the same time but yes it wasn't crazy competitive in terms of these matches could've swung either way 50/50, but that the overall skill level between the teams was pretty marginal
I will say Heroic had a chance to beat NaVi, and Spirit 2 chances to beat FaZe but Rain and Twistzz really pulled FaZe through some deep shit
one of the least competitive, seems like every other team sucks other than faze, navi looked good but dropped the ball in the final

Looking back, it does look like Navi dominated since nobody was good during that period. Navi looked to be basically the same tbh in this tournament relative to Stockholm but Faze was better and won.

Absolutely not a top 5. It was extremely mid, and in many respects lacked the hype that most majors carry up until the final. The only major storyline was faze. The level of cs is lower than Stockholm, and there wasn’t any crazy rivalry or comeback that defined the event.

Had many upsets, many top teams falling short. Compared to some of the majors with Astralis where all the favourites won, this was a lot more exciting.

Thing is that considering how many of the "top teams" are still inexperienced on LAN like Heroic and Cloud9, and how many of the new projects haven't been clicking, its just meant that the level of CS in the scene is just lower at the moment. It's not like this major was particularly poor relative to the rest of the tournaments. That's just the current level of CS.
