This major felt pretty lacking, or is it just me? Ggs faze, congrats rain and karrigan, hard grind always pays off in the end! Unlukko s1mple and co, you'll have your shot at another major!

it felt awesome, idk...

It's just you
2022-05-22 23:28
Missing the crowd for half the tournament is the problem imo, also there weren’t as many graffiti worthy moments

Ah ye maybe cus there was no ''super play/superclutch'' that has pretty much existed every major possible, idk This might be a hot take, maybe cus i didnt watch it from QF to Grand final, but it just felt like another event lol

From watching everything from the challenger stage since 2016, I have to say that this major imo is top 3. +The storyline, it should be self explanatory. From being shocked and devastated filled with regrets and followed by poor results in Boston, to finally winning the major. Was truly spectacularly to witness Rain and Kerrigan finally lifting the major +The crowd was fucking beautiful to watch, extra + for Karrigan being the crowds favorite +I can imagine this major being at least 3x better irl rather watching online. Just imagine the atmosphere around you 9/10 major

+1 I totally agree. The crowd seemed amazing Also gotta love the "MVP" chants on the rain interview after the game
2022-05-23 02:01
it felt lacking to me but that's because I support g2. i can see why faze fans would be exploding from excitement and from the little of the playoffs that I watched the crowd and atmosphere was pretty cool.
2022-05-22 23:29
Kinda true tho. 1 boring semi final, boring Final. Kinda underwhelming. Sprit v Faze Dust_2 was banger but sadly still 2-0

Naw this major is definitely out of the top5 majors of all time atleast I mean it was decent, i had a great time watching But it felt like i was watching a random blast event lol Yeah clutches missing was a bit boring, also no ''superplay'' or w/e u wanna call it, a bit lacking maybe?

Nah man, I had tons of fun even though all the teams I actually cheered for got eliminated rather early. We saw some terrific CS in my opinion
2022-05-22 23:29
Cause the favorites won If some crazy underdog story happened again it would be nice

Na'vi were the favorites though, atleast on betting sites.
2022-05-22 23:32
Was amazing for me, but i get it. Probably because of how they play now. Never doing any risky shit. Astralis ruined it by changing the meta

It was a brilliant major. Finally no more of the stupid seeding in previous majors before Stockholm that would pit the best teams somewhere before the final. We missed out on so many good finals in previous majors because of that, imagine an Astralis Liquid final at Berlin instead of the QF
2022-05-22 23:31
5th major in a row the favorites win, hopefully next major something cool happens

True, what made Krakow and Boston so good were the huge amount of upsets

Krakow's prod was shit and the grand final wasn't that good except the dosia nade ofc, but the rest was pretty good imo. Not as good as both eleague majors though
2022-05-23 01:05
I wonder, what made Atlanta so good though? For me it's probably the absolute best major, the atmosphere and matchups/upset was amazing, i was fuckign heartbroken when vp managed to choke both maps lol

For me it's the best major because It was the first i've watched and it's a combination of great crowd, great production, and great matches plus it wasn't the favorite that won. And yeah that VP choke I will probably remember it for my whole life haha
2022-05-23 01:04
this major was good, one of the best was the eleague major boston 2018, a very vibrant crowd, hopefully the next one will be in brazil

not just you, giving a major winning to a scummy org is really bad.
2022-05-22 23:34
over 1.3M viewers on final and hype to watch more than just the final this was epic! Probably on par with other majors of Fallenandco era (Lumi/SK)

Every PGL tournament feels a bit lackluster/low budget production yea but arena and crowd was nice at least.

Dunno what you all expect tbh. It was a great tournament with a well deserved (yes, maybe predicted) winning team. - Spirit as a huge underdog made a deep run only losing to the major winners - Bad News Eagles made a deep run out of nothing - Imperial upset vs Gambit9 - #1 team in the world vs #2 team in the world + defending champions in the finals - Inferno couldn't have been closer after 10-5 T half from FaZe - rain and Karrigan popping off 2017/2018 stats - rain crowned MVP What else do you guys need to get entertained enough? :D
2022-05-23 01:18
idk im super happy that faze won, but for me this major didnt feel fully like a major stockholm was productionwise so much worse, but still felt more like a major smh

Who asked?
2022-05-23 01:22
Faze spirit was one of the most entertaining series of cs I’ve ever seen, especially that dust2 map. If I had to show a non cs fan one map it would be that one. Navi Faze inferno was also insane, when it was 15-14 and s1mple was in that 1v2…

Is just u
2022-05-23 01:38
I had much fun because there were many Russian teams to root to get eliminated until very end and they all were sent home :)
