Karrigan won his major, and if I were him, I would probably retire soon. His performance made me respect him, because for once he wasn't carriedtrash but put his heart and soul into winning the games, especially that inferno.
-rain has to happen at some point. Sure he had a good major, but same as karrigan, that performance will not last forever.
tldr - changes will gradually have to happen and two legends will have to go (when there are good free agents). But for the time being, let faze keep being the nr1 team and win more events.
navi should kick s0mple and botality should kick zywho

Your take is not incorrect but as I said it's bad timing. Karrigan and Rain aren't going anywhere as long as they don't go out of next major in RMR stage or Challenger stage. Anything from Champions stage and above. It would come to individual performance

If Karrigan will be only half as good its gonna be enough, if rain is gonna be half as good its gonna be enough. You need to realize these players are not in the team for stats but for good calling and taking space. Shooting heads are for youngsters. Rain being beast is just big bonus.

I mean yeah that has to eventually happen, but FaZe are playing sick CS rn so there really is no reason to do that now.
I'm pretty sure even karrigan talked about the fact that him and rain will probably not stay on the roster for too many years from now considering their age and what they have already achieved. I'm sure once things start to gradually go down and they know they can't contend for titles anymore, changes will happen. The core of Twistzz, broky and ropz is a great starting point, just need to find a capable IGL and a solid support player and you are good to go again.

/thread those were my thoughts 100%, but people seem to think that one great major = nr1 for all time. They don't have to make those changes today, but I'd give the team another major before the roster would have to shake.

I think FaZe might be capable at winning another major and/or an Intel Grand Slam, but we'll see. They have a good thing going rn and there really is nobody stopping them from achieving even more. Now it's more about maintaining this form rather than reaching new peaks (which usually seems to be the harder task).
Dude, rain is only 27 years old. Unless you can prove to me that somehow rain will have aim worse than alesksib in a few years. Especially when #1 and #3 teams have a player with 30+ age. Fer, Fallen, Fnx almost qualifying for playoffs.
Coldzera and rain are the same age but one won the major and one didn't even qualify for the major.

Nah, I don't think navi played to their fullest understandably. And they probably won't play like they did at their peak with this roster either because of the rumored changes and the war and shit. I don't mind them being a top5 team; it's always nice to see competition at the top.

I think Karrigan said prior to this major that they are actually aiming for the major in autumn. So I guess rain and Karrigan will definitely stay until then. I don't think there is any reason for any of them to not wait out the end of their current contract as well.

He's the oldest player to win a major and whos to say he can't keep breaking similar records? With the right mentality and support he definatley has more years in him

I am a NaVi fan but retiring now would be idiotic especially when you have such a good team around you. Also, this implies that FaZe can replace him and expect immediate success with whomever they replace karrigan with, thats never a gurantee. We have no idea whats the team chemistry like within the team and all that. If I was karrigan I'd be motivated to win more and really go on to dominate the scene for a while.
Mens speak the truth but honestly who cares its their life. They do whatever they want. No one in godamn eSports or sports quit just because they got aged or whatever reason and unable to put godlike performances in the next big events. They are earning well and they will continue to do so and more importantly they are passionate. If u are speaking facts, then why did brazilian last dance didn't loose the hope and kept playing and eliminated good teams like c9 with 4 months of prac.
