With all do respect, Fallen wasn't the best player of the world in 2016 just because coldzera was off the charts. Fallen was #2 tho. Fallen was a lot responsible for his team dominating the world in 2016 and 2017. That aside, at least for brazilians fans, Fallen's importance goes way beyond the server, I think that's the part people don't quite get it and that's why people say he doesn't deserve all the hype he gets.

That's fair, but at the same time the off-the-server Professor stuff is probably a part of the reason why Thorin feels so strongly about him being overrated. From the outside, after SK we've just see him fail with MIBR and Liquid

The Professor stuff is related to how his carrer started. To earn some money back in 1.6 he used to teach players how he played, the fundamentals, positioning and all that stuff. He then created Games Academy (some 10 years ago), a website for which he recorded a lot of stuff to teach players, from beginners to advanced players. Then he created Gamersclub, which is the Faceit or ESEA from Brazil, that's the platform all south americans go for. He created that so brazilian scene would grow as there was nobody doing at that time. It's not just that Fallen helped brazilian scene, he IS the brazilian scene.
