Have the option to get Yekindar or JKS without buying a contract, or could buy Floppy out for cheap. If they aren't succesful in the next year, it was their own fault that they didn't take the opportunity.
Idk if yekindar and jks are cheap. Jks might be since he’s been on the bench so long.

Yekindar and JKS are not bound by contracts, they are free agents.

Sorry I didn't get the wording right. Let me re-explain. Because he is not on the main roster, and is warming the bench, is contract buyout (the release clause) will be incredibly cheap (relative to other signings).

It should be cheap but idk. The rumors are that OG is in the middle of signing him now and spunj has not come out and denied it liked he did the BIG rumors. If jks goes unsigned during this roster mania I would have to assume his buyout is pretty steep

Floppy is halfway through his 1 year contract, meaning Liquid would buy him out for half of what coL bought him for (theoretically). Surely coL did not pay that much for the 3 extra salt guys +grim and junior.

That’s not necessarily how that works. Some buyouts are the sum of the contract while others are a pre set amount and others are totally up to the org. For example I really doubt M0nesy was actually getting paid the amount G2 bought him for

What? I was just saying that the longer the contract lasts the less value it has to coL, so the less they can sell it for. Monesy got bought out for $600K, he didn't get payed 600K, his salary would be negotiated between him and G2. You have brain-rot, please don't reply anymore.

Not true. Nitr0 was calling mid rounds as well. Shox would often have input for Nitr0's calls and sometimes change his mind, but nothing more than that.

Still, shox calls are not bad, liquid was fine on retakes and everything... when shox was dead. When he was alive, he missed every 1v1 and created 0 plays or opportunity. He had 0 impact lurking and defending on inferno, 0 impact lurking and defending on b vertigo and 0 impact in ancient, at all. His decision making was fine, he had good ideas, but his execution was very bad. Always off timing, always looking away and never fully clearing spots, always missing his spray transfer. He's smart, but he's playing like he's on cocaine.

HLTV logic: Have the 3 biggest NA top talents and most desired players, funded by the biggest and most wealthy organization. Can't even be in the top 3 in an extremely underwhelming region.
Be Ence: Make a team that costs nothing, made up of players no one wanted. Become top 3 team in the world.
Liquid already kicked Fallen, and that did literally nothing to change the structure of the team. NAF still plays the same roles, so does Elige.

This is not true, statistics show that Elige has way less opening frags/deaths then what he used to do. If anything he has become more passive, compared to even how he used to be in 2019 and 2020 liquid.
Not really. Fallen used to awp and be the igl. The IGL is now passed on to Nitr0 and the awp to Osee. Grim used to be support, that duty has been passed on to Nitr0. So the roles are just slightly different, but it works out basically the same way. Even the awping style of Osee and Fallen is pretty similar both using the Device style of awping (passive awping) -> pace changing etc. instead of someone like S1mple's aggressive awping.
Yes, the roster has obviously made changes. And it's not the same. But they have shockingly many similarities. That's probably also due to Adren being coach.

As you can see 1.14 to 1.21 is a huge difference in opening play...
4006 rounds played in 2021 with 553 opening kills, (1 in 7.2 rounds)
1508 rounds played in 2022 with 220 opening kills (1 in 6.8 rounds)
Also nitr0 has not really been playing support... most of the time nitr0 is entrying with elige as 2nd entry, the only time nitr0 plays support is really when elige is entrying. Shox has been either playing support or hard lurking depending on map/round. Osee is actually a lot more aggressive than fallen, as on t side he will often go for opening picks which is something fallen rarely did. They have a pretty similar playstyle on CT side but even there he will also occasionally go for aggressive openings. Ive noticed it most on vertigo/ancient where he goes very aggressive t ramp on vertigo or mid/B on ancient looking for fights.
Elige NAF oSee is such a solid core. Any english speaking player can be plugged in over shox because NAF is so versatile.
If yekindar is added there’s so much firepower it’s a guaranteed top 10.

idk I feel like they don’t really need another super aggressive player, they need someone who is a bit of a hybrid, kinda like Twistzz is. Someone who can passive anchor sites and also do anything that’s needed on T side.
I think yekindar makes them better but I don’t think he really fills the hole that they need

Bro. JKS is under contract, so is YEKINDAR. And, he AND Jason Lake have stated multiple times that JKS wants to stay and will stay in EU.

You're main point is totally correct. Major is over. Team still has significant firepower with NAF/Elige and even Osee.
It's on the org if they can't fix this team in this time frame with the caliber of players involved both on the team and the market. It's team liquid.

They’ve unfortunately commited to 4 players and a coach that have the outward passions comparable to a piece of lettuce, so now they need to find someone who fill the server role as well as the role of emotional leader

HAHAHA this is true. American people seem to get stereotyped has hyped up ego freaks, but team Liquid are completely opposite of this, the team needs some life and Shox seems to be the only person giving them any.
I agree TL tend to look like they are completely soying out of games more often then not when they lose but reality is no one really has a clear picture of what these people are like.
I've listened to their comm videos in the past and the communication seems fine to be frank.
An injection of skill seems to be more important then whatever we think Shox brings.

Who would take his roles? Certainly not Yekindar, NAF, oSee, and Nitro? You'd be putting Floppy, a T2 player, straight into a T1 star player, not sure he could sustain that pressure. I understand the thought tho.

If you added Autimatic then you would be founding your roster on hope. You hope that Autimatic returns to his peak, but hope is not a good strategy. Also, hypothetically, if Elige got removed where would he go? Surely not EG or coL?

Just remove shox for stew and you'll have both a firepower upgrade from shox to stew, and elige will start playing like a god again with stew entrying (if he isn't the igl).

I'd rather see Complexity fixed up honestly. Part of me is still hopeful that the Liquid players can find form. Complexity need a proper awp.

I think Floppy will mostlikely be who liquid end up getting. But even if they do I think COL should add HexT and Clasia.

They cant really get floppy, if they want him from col it'll be very expensive
they can probably get jks, yekindar probably not and the roles are a bit weird with him too, could take a risk on obo or could try to buyout autimatic/brehze from EG. Not really sure of any other good free agents they could get that fit the role
I think people overlook one large piece to why NA CS has fallen off a cliff. With the Pandemic nearly all of the Tier 1 events have been exclusively in Europe. We often forget but NA CSGO never really stood a chance until we started having a decent amount of tournaments in NA. It gives T2 teams in NA a chance to scrim and learn from European players since most NA teams can’t afford to spend large amounts of time in Europe.
