Yeah it sucks cuz Brazil is waaaaay too big, so to travel from one state to another is very expensive for a Brazilian

I think it's fair. R$ 319,00 (U$D 66.00) for the whole playoffs of the most prestigious event in CSGO that is long waited and many people want to buy. If you to be in the best spots (excluding the lounges, of course), it'll be R$ 499,00 (U$D 103.00) for the whole event.
You can also pay half the price for individual tickest if you're a student, so you can get to R$ 218,00 (U$D 45.00) if you buy each ticket separately and have a student card.

tickets are actually pretty cheap by the event's standard
However judging by my Google Maps knowledge, apparently the only two neighbourhoods close to the venue are Barra da Tijuca and City of God so choosing a hotel might be a bit difficult

the ticket price it's acceptable. But, in a lowercase situation it will cost arround the minimum wage for a non rio citzen. that hurts a lot

It is not, minimum wage here is around 1,2k reais, the 4 days premium one costs around half of the minimum wage lol, for people from another state it becomes very expensive.

I agree with you, but a point you're missing here is that the majority (probably) are students, so hardly an internship will pay more than 1k tbh

personally it is very very cheap, 4 day playoff ticket for as cheap as 78$? honestly thats very cheap. they probably thought about how expensive it is to travel to brasil so they made tickets cheap

dude the tickets are fine, the problem is to travel there for most of the people it will cost at least 500 USD + Tickets, for some more... Like from my city it would cost 900 USD to be able to (flight + hotel + tickets).

yes thats what i wrote, but i wrote it like a idiot. i understand that going to brasil is too expensive(well i just found cheapest for 800 with 2 stops and takes 30h in total, flying back takes 37 hours lol, others are 1000+), not worth it, which is why i wont go to this major.
on average from my country it is like 1000eur and takes 18/20h
just pointing out that this thread is saying that tickets are overpriced when in reality they are so cheap.

maybe for someone from Europe, it is hard to understand that a lot of Brazilians still are unable to pay for these tickets, even if they already live in RIO and they could just take public transport and go.
the cheaperst ticket cost around 8% of a minimum salary, for the 4 days it would be almost 40% of the minimum salary. And here in Brazil is very common to get less than the minimum salary.
Imagine for a kid that their parents live only with a minimum salary?

it is sad reality also in europe mate, so i understand you really well. Latvia is shit, but i would say full of opportunities to work good/okay job and make atleast 2x the minimum wage with very little efforts
But.... very very huge portion of latvians are working for minimum wage
in my country minimum wage is 500EUR before taxes, so after taxes its like 350EUR and no, the food is not cheap and our gass is 2eur pet litre and rent for OKAY 2 room apartment is like 350EUR so living in latvia sucks for those working minimum wage
it is like that in many countries, but organisers have to make a profit, for me these tickets seem very cheap for this kind of tournament. hope you can go to it :) i would go, if i did not have to pay 1000EUR only for plane :D good luck
