2021 Major - Astralis didn't make it to playoffs
2022 Major - Astralis / Vitality where his former teammates are, didn't make it to playoffs
People who still say that device was overrated. Look at his teammates not making it twice with the same members ( 2021 ) and now in 2022 in different teams without him.
People who still call devve overrated and boosted by gla1ve mastermind. Well, they didn't make into any playoffs after he left and he did, on the major he played without them ( 2021 ofc ).
He also had more success until he decided to go in his 'break'. He got 1 mvp ( *A* tier event, some teams missing), attended to 4 different finals and he pushed a team that was top 13 to top 2, they were top 1 contender for few weeks and people that will say ' astralis and vitality new lineups ' - NIP changed their lineup 3 times ( 2 of those = academy players ) in 6 months. yeah, it's weird
give him more than few months to convince Vitality org that apex is a burden and as long as you have mentally unstable IGL as a worst player holding on to best positions on maps - you can never win.
Which team has their worst player on outside Nuke? Mirage connector? Give me one team in top 100 in which their BY FAR the worst player does that.

They were already trending downwards as a whole when Device left, they would've spiraled down regardless(probably a bit slower but anyways).
He is good player of course, but he wouldn't have kept Astralis alive if he had stayed

Just as many as crucial rounds Xyps saved for Astralis.
Dev1ce did too.
Vertigo in 2019 ... Astralis started 0-4 . It was dev1ce who turned the tides. without that round by Dev1ce, Astralis greatest counter play would have been a meme.
Next map against NRG. his iconic 1v4 Deg kills on train. Dev1ce was the Consistent Superstar who map in and map out gave them solid footing in the game.

Respect a good roster....
Dude I love them so much (all 7). That now I follow NiP for Device and Vitality for Dupreeh, Magisk, Zonic. Also Kjaerbye on Twitter.( I didnt do that for longest. but when they made up. I was happy).
Astralis as a roster was great. All the 5 of them were the best at what they did. each a superstar in their rights but Dev1ce was still above them all. He gave team stability and consistency. Dupreeh can miss his entry, Magisk can miss his lurk, Xyp can miss his clutch but as long as Dev1ce was there was nothing to Fear. Dev1ce was the reason s1mple didnt run amok all time on Astralis. He was the glue that kept them all together. As soon as he left all hell broke lose.
Just a month or 2 ago (before device left), Me and my childhood best friend had decided we will be going to stockholm Major to see them play. Never know when would the last time they play together. I already told my fiancé that we arent getting married this year. was a pretty shit day for both of us when we came to know about the transfer.

The only thing i meant to say with the post is that people that call device overrated should really look at the big picture and stop being tunnel vision. Not that he has carried either team. So yes, instead of trying to co argue, bring arguments next time. Have a great afternoon buddy
device was the literal definition of a backbone. im a fan of him since his early rifler days as my name shows.
he used to be that flashy hybrid player who could do everything but was inconsistent and dissapered a lot of times (semifinal chokers)
and he just transformed into a reliable , consistent backbone. i love his way of playing. no one back at the time had the idea of doing it this way (some exceptions like skadoodle etc) it was more like a guardian, fallen, kennys, jw, s1mple falshy type awper era. but he changed it. single-handedly with his team. thanks to him, the awp is where it is today.
+ i loved to see the styles clash in matches, him against aggro awpers etc. was always super cool. playing against this astralis back then was no fun. you face 4 insane riflers and when you were able to beat them all you had this awper in your face and you died. xd insane

I really hope dev1ce doesn't go back to Astralis. Of course I might be biased as a NIP fan, but honestly I think NIP with devve (instead of plopski) >>> Astralis with devve (instead of xyp). If he leaves I hope he goes to some team like Heroic which he would make #1 over night.
Why do people call him devve?
Just call him dev0ce, ecolai or botvice.
