So you suppose to not buy products from developing countries or what? I think you can find coffee which is social ok. And didn’t they say, he sells the books half the price?!
2022-05-25 19:18
You dont understand economics or business do you. It costs not because to make crazy profit. Its because its coming from other side of world. Then all workers paid both developing countries and developed ones. Its. Not just coffee beans. Any good the more processing there is and the futher it comes from tfhe more its worth. Plus theyy get thousands of worth coffee makers so they need to get back for that too. And noone is forcing to buy it.

Since profit is something capitalist, i suppose: 1) the coffee is free 2) they have 0 profit, all the money is shared EQUALLY between all workers btw daily reminder that socialism/communisn never worked and never will and only economic freedom saves

Ah, another person who doesn't understand socialism, communism or even capitalism that he seems to be championing for. Daily reminder that communism has never been performed in the form of actual communism, but under authoritarian dictatorship which is not communism. Socialism is practiced in many countries that offer much higher quality of life than countries that are purely capitalistic.

No matter where is tried, doesn't work? Maybe is the ideology fault? If you are talking about the Nordic countries, i doubt they are socialists with that high economic freedom and existence of private property. And since socialism is a transition from capitalism to communist, can you tell me when the Nordic countries will go full commie? But they also aren't 100% capitalists. Fact is economic freedom and individual rights> socialist economy

Your entire comment just proves you don't even know what socialism is. True communism has never been tried in any country. Soviet Union was not communistic unless the dictator "decided" to make parts of it "communistic." So what's your next idea of communism? China? China that is pretty much completely capitalistic? And lastly, socialism doesn't equal no individual rights, it doesn't equal you can't own things. Capitalism means poor keep being poor without any escape and the rich keep getting richer with the ability to stomp down the poor.

Capitalism means poor keep being poor: No. Capitalism doesn't force the state - which would be the responsible to collect taxes and provide for the poor - to don't do their job. Greed does. Corruption does

Capitalism allows greed and corruption = capitalism keeps the poor being poor because the rich have hegemony over the poor. You have to work because you don't have social benefits to fall back on meaning the rich who dominate employment can keep salaries low because the poor simply need to work even though how shitty/great the job is and still get low income that goes back to the rich who own all the necessities they need to live, food, housing, medicine etc.

"provide for the poor" you shouldn't be able to be poor for your entire life, a good system allows you to get back on your feet and be a productive member of society.

yeah yeah yeah, USSR, Angola, Vietnam, Cambodia, and many others never were communists. I already saw this excuse before. Dont you guys understand that if a lot of people tried, and all of they failed, maybe, we should try something different? Your country is top 10 in economic freedom, you should be grateful for that.

You do know that we are literally the prime example of a country that contradicts economic freedom because we're high on it and we are a welfare state, literally something that laissez-faire opposes.

"True communism has never been tried in any country" Neither has "True" fascism so I guess that means we need to create another fascist/communist country and kill another millions of people =)

fascist italy and naziii germany did not at all follow the ideals of fascism but that doesnt mean fascism isnt a genocidal authotarian ideology the same thing goes for communism, both ideologies are utopian and impossible to acheive and have all resaulted in authotarian governments that tend to collapse within a few decades

Definition of fascism is broad and the most common citation of it is from Stanley Payne. All of the main concepts that Payne has describe what Nazi Germany was and they thrived for the "utopian" world that you yourself described. Every form of ideology is utopian. Nothing is going to be fully achieved. Would you consider Soviet Union as far-left? Would you consider China as far-left? Would you consider totalitarianism as far-left?

socialism isn't 100% economics, is more about reorganizing society doesn't work, wouldn't be possible to be done. but no country even tried anything like it. cuba, urss, venezuela, north korea, china are/were simple dictatorships that use the word socialism to pretend to be trying to do something somehow good socialism isn't about giving money to the poor or everyone makes the same income - is more about people being different of what they really are. giving money to the poor and helping people improve = welfare state in a context of social democracy. socialism has nothing to do with bolsa familia, saude e educaçao etc capitalism needs a society with education, infrastructure and a functioning health system - that's why our capitalism here doesn't work. lula talks about socialism as if it were something achievable- it isn't. and bolsonaro's administration is about the same as lula's. economicwise and monetarywise. TERRIBLE.

economic freedom on a corrupt state elected by people without proper educational system will be just as bad as what you think socialism is economic freedom isn't the problem here. lack of education and corruption is.

all the countries with high economic freedom seems to be well, and they also looks good in the education index, and also the corruption ones. not implying that economic freedom = instantaneous first world, but it seems like a decisive factor tl;dr: economic freedom, education and low corruption walk together.

discussing socialism is bad, capitalism is good is the problem. if we discussed how shitty dilma's and bolsonaro's economic decisions were and then tried to find someone less worse as a team things would get better. left and right, as citizens together. FUCK discussing socialism and capitalism. your argument is the problem.

2022-05-27 05:58
i mean you have to work with what you've got, and more worker co-ops and experiments like this are always good i think. probably better then just another starbucks store tbh i think people are missing the point. Anarchism is more a form of organization, you can participate in a bad system with the hopes of doing good things. maybe its fake or whatever but on the surface it seems ok i guess?
