I don't quite understand what Gaules' viewership has to do with the arena, but 18k is a very good amount for csgo esports events
how many seats are they filling?
Yes because they can get an indoor stadium with 300k seats
ESL was afraid we wouldn't buy all the tickets! They just need to change the location now
wasnt Antwerp 12k ? and one of the biggest crowd in a csgo event ever ? (from what I've heard / remember)
Gaules are going to rent a stadium, we are going to have a fanfest, #LaTriboneira is real....
the event has to be held in RIO, tickets have been sold there, many people have already booked for it, hotels etc... I almost booked a hotel for myself..... but I couldn't buy a ticket... I don't think it will be good for the local public to watch it in an open stadium... (remembering that unlike a music show, we need to watch it through a screen)
the avg ticket is 65-70$, i dont think there will be more than 15k brazilians pay that amount of money
Probably of 18k there will be 5k-10k just foreigners
They should buy whole Brazil and host it outdoor
Tickets sold out in less than 20 minutes
Time to change it for a Tier 1 city like Curitiba and use the Arena da Baixada stadium since they would have no problems with the rain there.
I have just read that LoL had 45k people in China (biggest tournament with paid tickets), Brazil is for csgo equivalent of LoL's China.... and I think that with some hype csgo could have make new record.
ESL should take this risk because this would be considered as biggest crowded esport tournament and it would make ESL much more respectable in esport.
The major should be held at Rio's sambódromo, with the hosts dressed as Carmen Miranda
the shit question here is, eventbrite is a shitty site and theres a mountain of people that uses bots to buy tickets and resell it or just keep it and bein a dick
