The trick is to always doubt yourself, never say good job, and always strive for better

To remember they struggle to go on everyday just as you do. We all have something that affects us in a serious way, just that something is different for everybody.
The key is to realize that we all suffer, and if you can keep yourself going, thatll help others go too.
At least thats what I think

I've never been a competitive person at heart, so it's hard for me to really strive to be better than others. I find it rather easy for me to focus on myself and what I want in the current moment or near future. Though, I am sometimes envious of the competitive nature people have, because there are interests of mine that are better suited for it.

honestly life isn't a race and it may seem like people are ahead but at the end of the day the only person u have control over is yourself and it can be hard to look at other people's accomplishments and think that you aren't enough but everybody is good at different things. that's what sucks about highly competitive environments in school & workplaces etc... because we are taught that we need to be the best in everything and if we aren't then we are just a failure, but if we take a step back and look its easy to see that some people are just better at some things than others, but there's nothing that we can do about that, the only thing we can focus on is ourself and making ourself better.

Sol (suffering out loud),
Been in your shoes mate, this shit will never get old.
if you have found out what you would love to do in future then just focus on that, try to get better at it, meanwhile try to utilise those extra competitive & smart people to learn from them and enjoy their company, they have different way of looking at things, and don't worry they are not always right.
lesson here is first find out where you see yourself in future and work to achieve that goal (don't shy away to take help from others but note that, goals are for you & sometimes only you can determine what's best for you, take your strengths and weaknesses in account), if you start adjusting your goals to other's goal you could never bring yourself to give your best effort.
there is a good chance that you will fail.
now, to add some context i also hated that competitive struggle at iitb, i found out what i really liked to do and focused on getting better at it, you won't believe i have rediscovered that hunger for competition now (preping for upsc🤣🤣)

you can spend your time in 2 ways:
1. thinking about your colleague's life performance;
2. studying/practicing to become 1% better than what you were yesterday.
see, one of these paths will slowly lead you to success and it's not hard to know which one it is.
there is a maxim I heard from a famous brazilian doctor and bodybuilder that makes a lot of sense to me, he says something like: "successful people has boxy asses". this means, basically, that sucessful people spend their time with their ass locked on the chair and their head down studying/doing/acting/practicing what they have to do to become more intelligent/successful/etc.
stop thinking.
stop comparing.
stop taking useless actions that won't help you achieve your goals.
start taking action on the steps that will lead you to your sucessful life and don't ever stop doing what you do. there will always exist people more talented than you but you can beat them all being fucking consistent because hard work beats talent when talent refuses to work hard.
stay safe man, wishing you all the best from Brazil.
