yeah, way too many people focus ALL their training on aim but gamesense, purpose and actual play to win is something they neglect completely.
You even have pros who are completely inept at understanding what it takes to win, they just duel. And they are very good at shooting but when left in a clutch they act like a headless chicken.
And then people complain they've hit a wall - your aim is 9/10 but your gamesense is 2/10 and you still keep grinding dm and aimbotz 5 hours a day expecting to improve?
Aim is the easiest part of the game to learn so I guess that makes sense why people focus on that - cause other things are actually hard to learn. Timings, openings, what means what, what's proper response, what's a proper wrench, utility, economy, conditioning, spawns - each of those is orders of magnitude harder to get a grip on than brainless point and click while playing your favorite music in the background.
And I say that as someone who has got their aim in a good place even tho I have a damaged nerve that goes into my right hand. 15 minutes a day for like 4 days a week for few months and you be hitting your shots for the most part.
Yes, while improving your aim from 9/10 to 10/10 will let you take more different and harder duels and win more of them - working on gamesense is a far greater benefit for winning.
