Less than 9 hours left. Today I dreamed about the match xaxa, im kinda nervous.
-Madrid comes rested, they've had one free month, while Liverpool has been fighting for premier and cup. Double edged sword, since Liverpool is tires but also in a competitive mood, while Madrid has been chilling.
-Injuries: Madrid has all players avaible, while Liverpool had some recent injuries like Thiago, Fabingo, Van Djick... they are expected to play, but some of them like Thiago might not be at their best, and a champions final is extremely demanding.
-Vini vs Trent: we saw a couple of years ago how Klopp underestimated Vini in champions (valdebebas match, I think quarter finals of 2019, remember the match perfectly but not the date) and the brazilian ate Trent alive. Highly doubt Klopp makes same mistake twice, Henderson and Fabinho should be permanently helping Trent. Anyways, I expect this to be an important aspect of the match.
-Midfields: Madrid has opted for a 4-4-2 in important matches to somewhat fix Kroos lack of intensity. Valverde is a key piece in this scheme, will be important to deal with Liverpool fast style and suffocating pressure. We will surely see +Camavinga at min 65/70, probably for kroos but not sure. Ceballos also has chances of playing final minutes.
-Liverpool attack vs Madrid defense: the english side has the, in my opinion, best attacking trio in europe. Madrid defense has become more solid since Ramos left and we finally dont have a clown making 20 errors per game. Problem is, Militao occasionally disconnects from game and becomes Maguire 2.0, and Alaba isn't a central back, he is a left back and has made some mistakes as central this season. Carvajal has recovered some of his level, but he will still need lots of help from Valverde and Casemiro, who I'd like to talk a bit about
-Casemiro: similarly to Carvajal, has gone from being in exceptionally poor form at start of the season to being solid again. Not at his best, but still crucial in Real Madrid. We will need him to put a good performance tonight.
Overall, a really close match which should be decided by details. Imo, Madrid needs to try attenuate Liverpool's intensity for first 60 minutes, the longer the match, the better for Madrid.
Let's hope I can celebrate in Cibeles tonight. HALA MADRID!
