HLTV should make a female ranking like they make different rankings for countries aswell. Thoughts?

yes!

For sure, that way it'll also be easier to follow and understand who are the top teams at the time. Also, they have their own tournament circuit so it just makes sense to have a ranking for them. I'd also want there to be one for academy teams, although I have no idea if that already exists or not.

So based, also great idea about academys, aparently the absolut dominants have been Mouz nxt, but now they have lost at groups stage in we play academy season 5 so no real idea of what's going on on that scene

Yeah, I think Academy having separation is definitely something they should do. Along with maybe putting the Academy league on the front page and more easily accessible. Reading more of this thread though I think maybe they could make winning or something at an Impact Event be an invite to an ESL Challenger tournament or whatever their feeder events are to their main event qualifiers. The ranking thing is a much more difficult situation though as people pointed out that it could set the females back.

Yes. It makes 100 % sense and it would help them a lot!

Yes, i've thought a bit about it and would be nice, also would be great if ESL made a match or two between men and woman at tournaments where both circuits coincidence, that would give an idea of which is the real level of woman and if there is any improvement by comparing between tournaments
2022-08-09 15:39
That'd be pretty cool
2022-08-09 15:45
yes
2022-08-09 15:50
At first i thought yes but then i thought, isn't the point of the impact tournamnets just to give female teams a chance to grow, so they can later be more competetive in non-gender specific tourneys? like the acadamy teams almost, so i think the rating would be pointless

+1 kinda sets em back

Hmm, but we're pretty clearly not at that stage yet, right? I would be pretty inspired to see a list of top 20 people similar to me being celebrated.

Yes

Idk, on one hand it would be better to help publicize good female CS players and teams, but on the other hand, it kinda sends the message that they should be inherently separate when at some point eventually there will be a team of female pros that could make the top 30 or higher on the regular rankings.

No, the female scene has their own ranking system which they already use and a lot of female teams don't always play hltv matches, so the ranking would be fucked anyway
